I have already paid both fees (AOS & IV) & mailed the packages out, we received 9 different emails from NVC BUT I still get the "there's no record of your case #" message.

If I didn't get my case # from a live person & started the "process" - I would still be waiting. So, sometime it is better to get your case # from a live person - you just never know how long you will be waiting to get the case # from the AVRS.

Same here. Since the beginning, I am also getting "Case not found" from AVRS. I have contacted the operator since Oct 4th (NOA2 hardcopy date) everyday at least once (sometimes 3 times too) until yesterday. Today's call is due :star:

I called NVC's AVRS. It says some sort of package was generated on 01-NOV-2010 and mailed to the agent (i.e. moi.) I didn't receive anything via email yet. What could they been sending now? I already mailed the AOS package to them last week. I'll send the IV package tomorrow.

Did I get an RFE on my AOS package? I can't imagine why I'd get an RFE. I included everything they could possibly ever want. Is this an RFE message? #######! I'm not freaking out. I'm just confused. By the way, I did get both IV and AOS email from NVC already.

i'm trying to use pencil but u can barely see it :-( I dont want to push too hard cuz it might ruin the photo. has anyone else used pen to write on the back of passport photos without a problem? or can i use a post it or something?

I had some problems, but an actual wood pencil, as opposed to a mechanical one, worked for me. The mechanical one I tried at first basically wouldn't mark.

Why can't we use a pen to write this info? I can write very gingerly without embossing the other side. Alternatively, I can use ink-jet printers to write this info directly on the back of the photo. Is there a rule that says we cannot use a pen or printer on the back of the photo. Why do they care about the back of the photo.

For the same reason we do all the other things we do here because they said to do so in their instructions. They probably didnt have your gingerly writing ablilites in mind when they came up this this requirement. Why fight something so simple just use the pencil.

I have been getting the same voice recording for 4 business days now "On oct 23rd we generated some documents and will be mailed to you in the next few weeks. If it has been 6 weeks and you have not received anything, please press 0 or something".

Looks like we are in the same boat.

You're welcome. You may not find the exact model. But you'll find something very similar to what posted. It'll run you about $25 or so. But I'm sure you won't get this message in time as you left. Good luck.

I'm going to stop by Office Max today also. I need to pick up some clear plastic pouches so I can put the pictures in them. I'm going to staple the pouches to a sheet of paper. I also need clear peel-able labels to write case number on original documents. I don't care about the PCC. I can write directly on it. I only care about the marriage certificate and birth certificate. I know both of which can be re-generated but they won't ever be the very first, very original one. Sentimental values and sh**s, ya know!

I did find the exact one, it was awesome, saved me a TON of time. I picked up Post-It brand longish thinnish strips, 7/8" x 2 7/8" to use on the originals, stamped on them and attached with no probs.

Jon, I sent AOS and IV as 2 separate packages. So, I can't comment on it :star:

It may be a good idea to highlight outside the envelope - "NVC Case#, then AOS and IV packages are included" - something like that.

Loto

I've decided not to risk it. I'm going to send them separately. Redoing envelopes now, then off to the PO.

I only pulled off and back on a couple to adjust position, but yeah, they pull off very easily as the whole line of post-its do. Note that the sticky portion is only on about 1/4 of the note, but it seemed to hold just fine.

Cool beans! I have been holding on NVC for 29 minutes. Then finally got through The document that was generated on Nov 1st, 2010 is just DS230 email. I don't know why they had to send two emails. Oh well. Since it's nothing serious like an RFE, I feel relieved.

I just got a call saying I got the FedEX from wife. -squeal- It's wonderful to get mails now and then. Unfortunately, most mails are either junks mails or political garbage. Will assemble the IV package today and mail it tomorrow. If I could can go home by 15:00, I think I could've mailed this sucker today. But there's a saying in my culture that those who rush things are emulating the Satan. I’ll do it tonight.

Cool beans! I have been holding on NVC for 29 minutes. Then finally got through The document that was generated on Nov 1st, 2010 is just DS230 email. I don't know why they had to send two emails. Oh well. Since it's nothing serious like an RFE, I feel relieved.

Asked them about the AOS package. It's still not in the system. :( Hopefully by Friday...

I'll do it tonight.

Are you suggesting that many married couple chose the illegel immigration route? Bahaha! Most illegel immigrants are young, able-bodied male. Not spouses of USC. Secondly, please tell me what sort of benefits do illegel immigrants get? And what sort of restrictions don't they not get placed on them? Perhpas this is an OT topic. Feel free to not answer.

No I am not suggesting that. I am suggesting this process is exceedingly long and not completely necessary. It in my view does not achieve the objective of its original intent.

I guess since we are on the subject Illegal Immigrants would be those who dont renew there visa which were obtained legally. Illegal Aliens are those who just bypass everything to achieve there goal of living and working here.

With regards to benefits. First I will say this. If there were no benefits then what would be the point of coming here. Agree or disagree? We cant look at the from our comfortable position.

We also can not assume that once someone is illegally here that they start following our laws and rules.

Restrictions not being followed are :

• No accountabilithy - Freely Move (relocate) about the country without notification

• No periodic reporting to Government Entities on Status

• No paying of Fees

• No waiting 8 months or more and dealing with all of this

Other Benefits in my view include:

• Jobs

• Living and raising their families in a safer environment

• Citizenship of there offspring

• Public Education of their children & reduced tuition's for College as they get residence rates

• Free emergency Medical treatment

• Public assistance for children (welfare, food stamps)

• Use of all public facilities (Parks, Libraries, roads, etc)

• Some even vote

• Ownership of property both personal and real

All of the above are major benifits in my view. I am sure there are more that could be added but I think this is enough to show you they get benefits.
