I am thinking ours will be early December. When I talked to NVC today, I was told that our NVC package will be going to Chennai tomorrow or day after. Probably, I'll hear the interview date by the end of this week.

NVC schedules the interview date.

Expedited people will get interview date from the Consulate too.

That's not good Debby. Yeah, some consulates are severely backlogged.

One of them is Montreal.

Other one is Accra, Ghana - they wait 6 to 9 months for interview date, I think!

Loto, who decides interview date, embassy or NVC?

Generally the embassy/consulate provides available interview slots to NVC and then NVC contacts the filer. So if your consulate is a particularly busy one ...longer wait; if not so busy then an interview the month following NVC completion is doable.
