In fact, NVC email says to write NVC Case# on both AOS and IV package.

I wrote it on AOS package. But not in any of those IV package.

I got NVC email after I sent all those IV package  But didn't encounter any issues. Sometimes, NVC has a bad track record to mess up the documents and enter the wrong information in their system. It took almost a week to correct my DOB.

I was debating myself to write it or not on the originals and other docs in the IV package.

When I checked my old file, there also, I have not written the NVC Case# in IV package, but it was there in the AOS package. I just followed the same this time too.

But the email (IV) came after I mailed the IV package and it mentioned to write in the IV package as well.

NVC suggests it.

Verne Blaise, Glad to know that "Sue tip" worked for you too :star:

Since mother is the beneficiary, there is a slight difference in the documents. I'll do a quick reasearch and will come back. Currently, holding the line for NVC.

Anyone else had their IV payment take so damn long to clear? Initiated 29-OCT-2010 00:14 EDT, still not cleared, bank shows it as ACH HOLD IV FILING FEE NVC IV FEE ON 11/01. I don't get it, it took less than 24 hours for the AOS to clear.

@ Loto - NVC has finally acknowledged receipt of emailed DS-3032 today! (10 business days later.....)

Thanks for your help!

Next question - police certificates

Hubby was born in Jamaica however has lived and worked on another island for the past two years. He already has gotten the police certificate for the country he is living in now. Working on getting the one from Jamaica this week, which I'm hoping doesn't turn into a difficult process since he is not actually there. He is having his parents get it for him and he has to send them a whole bunch ####### to get it - fingerprints, letter of character, passport photos, etc. I guess the answer is yes, but I just need further reassurance. Does he need to get police certificates from both countries? NVC's website is a little confusing, says police report needed if living in your country of nationality for more than 6 months and over 16. Well he hasn't lived in his country of nationality for the past two years, so does this apply?

Trying to avoid as much headache as possible.

My NVC Journey

10/6/10 - Case approved by USCIS

10/18/10 – NVC received the file

10/18/10 - NVC case # generated; Embassy assigned - Nassau

10/18/10 - Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC

10/27/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/28/10 - Emailed DS-3032 again to Attn: Supervisor Sue

10/29/10 - AOS fee shown as PAID

10/30/10 - Received DS-3032 kit via email (NVC emailed it to the wrong email address for the beneficiary and realized their mistake on 11/1)

11/01/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

11/01/10 - Beneficiary received confirmation of original emailed DS-3032 (emailed 10/20)

11/01/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid same day

11/03/10 - IV fee bill shown as PAID

My request to expedite IV processing for my spouse got accepted.. Yahoooo  . My wife is in her 6th month of pregnancy and is advised against air travel after end of December.

NVC was very quick in forwarding the request to US consulate in Chennai, India; the consulate responded within 3 days.

Meanwhile, I followed up with NVC and paid AOS and IV fee online. NVC does not allow me now to login using NVC case # and IIN.

Anxiously waiting for December interview

My husband has a similar situation and has to provide two Police Certificates from the two countries he lived in. The first one is Romania where he lived past the age of 16 and Greece where he lived for 15 years.

So, YES both Police Certificates are needed from Jamaica and the current county he lives in...sorry I know this delays your process a bit

Timeline

My request to expedite IV processing for my spouse got accepted.. Yahoooo  . My wife is in her 6th month of pregnancy and is advised against air travel after end of December.

NVC was very quick in forwarding the request to US consulate in Chennai, India; the consulate responded within 3 days.

Meanwhile, I followed up with NVC and paid AOS and IV fee online. NVC does not allow me now to login using NVC case # and IIN.

Anxiously waiting for December interview

That's good news, Ramesh

We both will be in Dec Chennai List. Probably, yours will be at the end of Nov too

Loto

Where about is this info on the IV email? I received the IV email last night. I sort of just ignored it knowing what I need to do. I'm gonna read it when I go home. If NVC email says it, I'll do it. If it doesn't, then I'm going to avoid it. But I kind of feel torn now. How am I going to write on my original marriage certificate, birth certificate, etc. I might have to get remove able stickers or something. Just when I thought I had gotten past all the caveat, NVC throws me another one.

I don't see it on my IV email. :( Can you do a screen cap of yours?
