NVC FILERS - FOR October - 2010

Because of the way things unfolded for me, I am thinking of sending in both packages together: I am ready to send the AOS tomorrow morning, but my payment for the IV is pending - I paid it like 4 minutes after midnight Eastern time, technically Friday morning, so I imagine it will go through tomorrow or Tuesday. Is it ok to send them in together Express Mail? And if so, to what address/whose attention?

Address is on the Bar Code Cover sheet. Same address for both. By the way if you send them together make sure they are clearly separated from one another and both have cover sheets with bar-code. Its really up to you as to whether you send them in Separate or together. Just make sure the invoice shows paid. Good Luck

Hi, I hope your mother in law feels better.

I saw that you paid AOS fee a few days. I am trying to pay this fee from yesterday using ONline system. I get in the system. I check the "select" button. I click the "pay fee button" but I keep getting the same screen again and again. It never moves to the next step. What am I doing wrong?

It might be your browser. Try Explorer I have heard others say Google Chrome, Firefox have problems.

Hi everyone!

here s a question: after the IV bill was shown as paid, my wife printed the barcode coversheet and sent it with all the package (police report, birth certificates, DS-230, etc...) last friday.

This morning we got an e mail from the NVC with another barcode coversheet! Is this normal?

Also, i m french but i was born in Germany, and in the document we got from the nvc, they say than the foreign state of chargeability is Germany! Is this normal or should i call them so they don t forward my case to a consulate in germany?

Each applicant must now complete an Application for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration. Please go to the Department of State website atwww.ImmigrantVisas.state.gov and follow the instructions displayed...............................

I think that they sent out that email because they haven't receive/process the DS-230 form yet. I sent mine out this past Friday they will receive it today as it was the weekend.

Another thing, the date on their email shows October 29th, 2010 - If that was means to be sent out on Oct 29th & we received it on Nov 1st, then their email system must be seriously clogged.

Also, I just checked the AVRS & I am still getting the message: "we have no record of your case #................"

Indigo- I saw your memo from earlier . Thank you so much for typing out my time line for me in the order you would wish to see it. If someone finds my time line hard to read then they can skip over it (not trying to be standoffish to anyone HONESTLY). But hey, I am not known for my time line. Plus, my time line is screwy any way and not a good predictor of how long this process takes.

You're wecome. I hope you didn't take this as an offense. I was only trying to make it easier to follow. But it's your timeline. You do with it as you will.

Update on my case: I received an email from NVC with the barcode for IV and telling me to send this sucker up to them. I didn't need their email. Because I was ready to send it last week. Except I'm missing the police certificate. My wife send it Friday night and I should get it tomorrow. So I'll be able to send it by Wednesday. This has been the only snag on my case so far.

Mother-is-law seem to be doing better but she has to go through a battery of tests for her heart. I hope it's nothing serious.

oh yeah, seriously clogged, i got the e mail at 4 am US time, and it shows the same date as you, October 29th...

The barcode coversheet is to be sent with the documents (IV/DS-230)- if you already sent in your documents then there is no need to send in that barcode coversheet. In a nutshell: you cannot sent the barcode coversheet by itself-it have to be accompanied by documents.

The email is just a reminder/notice by NVC that all your bills/fees have been paid and you can go ahead & send in the required documents - but since we are proactive (and not reactive) - we have already sent in our documents.

You next step is calling NVC and giving them your and your beneficiary's email address. Then you will go ahead and send the DS3032 Choice of Agent email. Then in few days you will call NVC and ask them to give you your Invoice Identification Number if you haven't received it through email already. Then you will log into the pay portal using your case number and IIN and pay your bills. Use any of the VISAJourney guide to guide you through this.

Our case arrived at NVC on October 25th and the AOS Fee is still not invoiced online.... How long does it typically take for one to receive the email from NVC once they receive the case?

NVC received my case file the same time as yours and our AOS fee bill still hasn't been invoiced either. I hope it won't take more than a week to invoice the bill.

Hey, mate! Everything's well. My mother-in-law was ill last few days. So that took procedence over mailing the document. But it was mailed eventually. I should get it tomorrow (Nov 2.) I have everything else ready, including all the pages that doesn't require my wife singature (DS230 page 2 is the only thing that requires her signature.) Hopefully when I go home tomorrow after work, I'll have the package. Then I'll hit the gym for couple of hours and shower and finish up this documents over a nice tall cup of hot choco. Then I'll be ready to mail the IV package to NVC on Wednesday (Nov 3.) Hopefully AOS package will be scanned and tied to my case by then. It's been 4 days since NVC has my AOS package.
