NVC FILERS - FOR October - 2010

I was planning on flying on the 14th but (because nothing comes easily to me and hubs ) in the last minute it turned out that he has a 4 day of 12hr shifts that he can't get out of, starting the 13th.. So, now I have to choose between the 7-8th of Nov or the 21-22 of Nov! In other words, run tru saying my goodbyes and getting ready or spend more time away from him... Hmmm...

I'm resending this...I think it may have gotten missed, and I could really use guidance on it....

I'm preparing to send in my AOS and IV packages for my wife on Monday, and I had

a couple of questions I'm hoping one of you might be able to help me out with.

I had no income in 2009, and my parents are each being

cosponsors. No problem with the income guidelines, but I'm confused as to what

figures to use on the forms as they are joint filers. On the i864, it asks me

to list my cosponsors and each of their current incomes, then to total them

(question 24). What do I do? Divide their joint income evenly by two?

Similarly, but not identically, on the i864a, it asks for my sponsors 'current

individual income' (question 10). What goes there? Do I divide in two for

their joint return for each of their i864a?

My norther-in-law is ill. She has high blood pressure and some heart problem. I was talking to my wife last night and I'm really not good at consoling people. I didn't know what to say or do. Wish it's nothing serious and she gets well soon. She's really a lovely lady. I never got the evil-MiL vibe from her.

I read a lot from the USCIS website to anythung I can find on immigration and Loto is always very informative in his comments, I'm glad I found this site I call it the immigration Facebook

rhein- If you are using both of the incomes then you can put whoever you wish you list 1st on the I-864. I mean, if you are filing out the I-864A for you mom then your dad's individual income from his W2's or whatever he has proving his income for 2009. The same would go for your mom. On the I-864A, you would list all of the W2's totals or whatever she is using for income. I hope that made sense.

If they live at different address, you will file I-864 and they will file I-864

You will not divide. Enter each one's income separately from their current year employment letter or the income from the last year W2/1099 etc.
