I didn't staple anything. Instead I use clips to fasten each things together. I bought one of those stamps from Office-Max. You know the one you can use to make any message you want. I made my case number and sealed that on top-right hand corner of everything, except the bar-coded coversheet. It cost about $30. I figure it was worth the money since I can use it on my IV package. Plus, I can use it for many other things beside immigration. Go head and buy one of this bad boys. Here's a picture of the stamp.

We have something similar to that at the office.

I use the p-touch because it is removable - should we need to use the returned original documents at a later date/for something else.

@ IndigoSkies; Is a copy of US passport part of the AOS package to be submitted? Is this a new requirement? I file for my spouse last year and I didn't include a copy of my US passport. Secondly, is it 6 months of pay stubs or whole year? Kindly advice.

I don't think the passport is a requirement. A few of us were sending it here for AOS package; so, I sent it, too. Don't worry if you didn't include it. I don't think it's a show stopper. Same with pay stubs. I have the entire year's stub. So I sent them. But six month's is sufficient. I'm trying to emulate the use LotofPatience. He went through NVC in 19 days. I'm doing whatever he does. That's why the passport copy and the entire year's pay stub.

You want to get NVC's mistake corrected right away. You can correct the email address through the phone. Probably last name also. You may have to fax something like a passport biographic page. So be ready for that. Git 'er done quickly.

My hearing is not very good, so I tried calling the NVC several times to see if I had the correct Case number, but never could get through all week. Today I printed out the case number with Mirosoft works, placed the cut out number in my Cannon copier and ran all my documents through the copier to put the case number on the top right corner of each sheet. To get through, what you need to do call and spam. As soon as you hear the busy signal, hang up and quickly hit the redial key. Do this. You will get through within 10-15 tries. The most it took me were 34 tries one day. Once you get through, the average weight time is about 25 minutes. At least, that has been the average for me. I kept track of number of tires and how long I have to wait to get a human. I usually call from work. So the actual data sheet is on my work computer. Otherwise, I'd show it to you. I'm home now. Good luck. You'll never get through if you call once and stop calling upon hearing the busy signal. Remember, it's call 'n' spam.

I spend all day on VJ today. I refreshed this thread so much hoping there'd be more post and I could post more. But there wasn't. A few people called me to go do something. I just didn't felt like it. Maybe tomorrow will be more eventful.

I worked on photos all morning. When I got the NVC email today, I see they have my girl's apartment number after the street address. Sounds like some of my typing and reading that is out of sync. Glad my case number that was on the email was what I wrote down last week.............

hi im also waitng for my husband's interview in Manila.case completed 10/8/10.update me of your progress please? oh and btw,i called the NVC today and she said "no schedule yet" and "i don't know","i don't know",haha no matter what i asked she would just answer me witth i don't know..hoping for a great news next week. or a week after... goodluck to us!

Same goes for me! Guess we'll start calling NVC again on Monday! Hopefully our husbands' interviews will be on the 1st week!

@tabndan: They will correct the mistake once they get the DS-230 package. Just make sure u put all the dox they MIGHT need and I am FOR the explanation letter - better safe than sorry!
