IS, Then why don't you do the below?

1) If your wife would like to drive a car here - http://www.dmv.org/ga-georgia/apply-license.php

2) If she wants to drive it sooner than getting the state license - Get an IDP

3) You may change your auto policy from single to married and let me know how much premium came down (also send a copy to her as secondary evidence for interview)

4) If your health insurance renewal is coming soon, it is good idea to add her as well (premium will go up!). Some carriers may not allow the spouse during the current term while continuing the same job. Check with the employer's plans (another secondary evidence)

Also, it is another good idea to prepare a document checklist with all the secondary evidences list, that can be taken to the consulate, just in case.

I was bored & work & had nothing to do for about 2 hours so I decided to call the AVRS (got in on the 2nd try) and the message I got is still.........

"there is no record of your file #............" :bonk:

Both fee have already been generated & have already been PAID as well as both packages already mailed to them. So if anyone is/have been waiting for a while for their NVC case # - it would be a good idea to call and talk to a live person to get your case number.

As with some of you, I should get SIF by next weekend.

She doesn't know how to drive. So it will be at least a year after she comes here when she'll need to drive. I'm not sure my premium will go down for auto. I'm covered under by parents. My dad is the car guy in our family. It's all his domain. I could'ved added my wife within 30 days of marriage to my work health insurance. But I didn't want to pay some extra money every month when it's not going to help anyone. Open enrollment starts on December. will add my wife then. I won't be this restless in few days. Just want to send the IV package out and stop fretting. But all are good advices.

So, I called NVC and found out just as you suggested that the PCC would need to be translated in English but I also found out that they screwed up on our papers. They are expecting the PCC from Romania and Moldova headbonk.gif some idiots there put Moldova instead of Greece.... headbonk.gif my husband never lived or visited Moldova. I cannot believe the incompetence and errors they make there. They expect out stuff to be in order and no error but what about the data entry employees from there...UGH I am so mad right now devil.gifmad.gifcrying.gif

So the operator said that once the DS-230 is received they will get that corrected. I was wondering if we should include a letter included with the required document that he never lived or visited Moldova and also include a copy of all pages from his passport. Can you guys please give me your feedback on this I really appreciated.

Including an explanation with the supporting document is a very good idea. Also, highlight it very clearly.

Otherwise, I don't think they will correct it and will issue an RFE saying Moldova PCC is missing.

I'm pretty sure it only has to be translated in English... :unsure: You can double secure urself with a translation in Romanian too (if you have the time and $$ to spend), but the best thing really would be to call the USEM and ask them! :thumbs: Good luck!

PERSONAL UPDATE: I couldn't hold myself and I called the USEM in Sofia early this morning (figured that way I'd remind them of the joint sponsor dox they needed to look at :P ). The operator lady does the check-up and says the most amazing words in my life: I SEE YOUR VISA HAS BEEN APPROVED AND WE'LL SEND YOUR PASSPORT THIS AFTERNOON OR ON MONDAY AT THE LATEST. :) !!!! :girlwerewolf2xn::blink::bonk::wacko::dance: :dance: :dance::girlwerewolf2xn:

Congrats Mrs. D!!! :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: :thumbs: any idea for POE?

John- No AVR update over here either. Mine was delivered on the 19th so it has been over a week. I've been checking just to see but don't expect anything until Nov 2nd. I hope your packages fly right on to someone's desk. My understanding was that it takes 10 business days for them to input that they have the files and then 3 weeks from then to SIF/CC. If that is the case, you should still be ok for January as long as they input your case files soon! :thumbs: Don't give up hope yet.

Indigo- If you get those documents by when you are hoping, we will be on the same track for mailing off the IV package. I bet yours will beat mine though in to the NVC system. :bonk::help:

Little did I think that the holidays suck before I had to wait for the gov't to do something during the holidays. :wacko:

10/17/2010: DS-230 IV fee ($404)...online payment..-in process

10/18/2010: I-864 AOS package delivery

10/21/2010: I-864 AOS package completion

10/19/2010: DS-230 IV status 'PAID',

10/20/2010: DS-230 IV package mailed out

10/22/2010: DS-230 IV package delivery

10/26/2010: AOS and ds230 enter to their system and under review

10/28/2010: NBI reciv at NVC mailing room.. track and confirmed by USPS

11/05/2010: RFE- AOS 2009 IRS tax...missing...(even if we included d 2007,2008,2009 irs tax) careless NVC,

11/13/2010: ds230 accepted no RFE..tnx GOD..

11/14/2010: checklist letter recieved

11/15/2010: RFE sent to NVC

11/16/2010: NVC recieved our RFE

11/30/2010: RFE enter to their system

12/02/2010: SIF

12/03/2010: case complete

12/07/2010: MEDICAL @ st.lukes PASSED!!!!

01/06/2010: interview date 6;30 am

01/12/2010: VISA ON HAND...

01/19/2010: flight POE ( DETROIT )
