Sorry for your sh***y day. But good news is that your choice of agent, DS3032, has been accepted. I got the same email. And 30 minutes later, IV fee was ready to be paid. By the way, by then AOS fee was paid accepted. See my timeline below. You got some good news now.

We sent in scanned ds3032 24 hours ago to supervisor sue and still shows as 'not been invoiced' so im not so sure it's a done deal yet. hopefully by the time i wake up tomorrow it will be ready to pay :) And still no emails...of course... seems things aren't that predictable here, but then again i know not to expect consistency. but a lucky day would be nice...blah...tomorrow will be a better day here's hoping B-)

Back in Business !!!

I was a May 130 filer - fell off track due to my special circumstances. I was called in for an interview at a local office. I went in with a carry on full of stuff - turns out they wanted to inquire about my previous bonafide marriage. Luckily I had some key pieces of evidence with me that I took, and the officer seemed satisfied with it. I asked him if I can make copies since they were my only last pieces of evidence, shredded the rest due to emotional turmoil. He said I can go out and turn what ever I want in by the end of the day. So I rushed out, called bunch of people to get some pictures from the past, went straight to kinkos printed a few pictures, emails - I swear I had to condense all my memories about my past within those few hours and print out what ever I had. Created a nice thick package and went back to the local office and delivered it. That was Oct 13.

Got impatient followed up on Oct 21, asked for expedite, same day called the senator's office and made an info pass for the 25.

Went to the local office on the 25th, thy said my case was approved on the 21st and that I should be getting an approval letter soon.

Today I got a letter stating that someone had made an inquiry on the 21st, and since then my 130 has been approved and should be getting approval notice shortly.

On the webiste, it has kicked it back into initial review again.

Anyways it seems that I can embark on the NVC journey with you all once again !!

When should I start calling the NH number ? I had the some forms singed by my wife with black ink, should I send it back and have it signed by blue ink ? My first anniversary is end of Dec. Any chances she can get a Jan interview ? :(

In case you all are wondering why was I singled out and called in to question about my prev marriage. Because, although I am a USC now, the day I got married to my current wife, I was still a LPR. So the rule is that if a LPR gets divorced and then marries again within 5 years of him 'getting' the green card - he should be called in. 5 years is not from the date of first marriage, it is from when the GC was issued. I was only 30 days short, had I waited 30 days, took the oath and then married I would have been fine. Crazy immigration flow charts !

Oh - I'll go one step further, and suggest to you that Lotto knows much more about this process because, like me, he's gone through this USCIS/NVC silliness before, for a prior petition. He (like me) knows about 'that embassy', because he's had paperwork slung to there, before, for a prior petition.

Plus, he's just as ####### as I am, about 'getting it right', when it comes to paperwork.

I'll even suggest to you that it really isn't common sense research, but instead - very POINTED research covering all the bits necessary, that'd never arise using 'common sense research' techniques. Loto's got it nailed, and it shows.

All Hail Loto, several times a day - The man's got the patience of a Saint.

Not to mention that Mr. Lotofpatience also has the infinite patience to answer the SAME questions day in and day out !! Hats off to you my friend!!!!

Congratulations on your NOA2 :thumbs:

Which Consulate is yours? Also, did you get a chance to review those NVC guides?

Check out the timelines of the people here to have an idea. NVC can be done in 4 to 6 weeks time on an average.

I know your some details in the IR1/CR1 main thread about that 5 year border point issue!
