If you got the check list email,it is most likely your AOS has already been reviewed. They are still working on your IV and its aspects.

I think you will get SIF soon. Just ignore the AVRS messages for now.

I got same email checklist letter like you had on 11/24, which asking me to submit DS-230. I saw your timeline after 2 days later you got SIF. One thing is that, operator couldn't tell me either AOS has been review yet or not. So confused.

Here is AVRS status view:

11/17/2010- Documents missing....checklist send

11/22/2010- Again Documents missing.... Checklist send

11/26/2010- Checklist letter received on 11/23/2010...allow 6-8 weeks

12/01/2010-Documents missing....Checklist send

I hate Chennai weather Adding to the Chennai stink is all the corrupt politicians like Karuna and his clan.

I had some good news this morning too. I wanted to get in to a much needed training and they scheduled it in the US in Jan when am in India. But I was able to get in to the Bangalore session which is in the 2nd week of December. I pushed the India guys to accommodate me and they yielded.

As usual Chennai ranks one of the worst cities in India in terms of weather

But now-a-days, there is drizzling at night time to keep the temp. low.

When I went to Chennai consulate in May for CRBA with family, I literally soaked up with the sweat.

In other words, a slight color change of white shirt to off-white with stinking smell

I was little worried about AOS, I only submitted 2009 tax return with IRS transcript. I was below poverty guideline in 2008( Laid off from previouse Job), technically 2009 tax is big differrent with poverty guideline. I hope it will not be issue anymore.

As far as I know the will look at the most recent year (2009) and if that is not sufficient, they will look backwards. Your 2008 will come to hurt only if your 2009 was below poverty.

What they do care is current year income and just the last year income.

I just spoke to a .. rep, my IV was entered on 11/22 and she told we just received it please wait 2-4 weeks, most of you guys had to wait only 7 days or less for a SIF, that's worries me, I am not looking for RFE....

11/22 last package entered and no RFE so far.

This is the good indication of SIF by the end of this week

I made over 50k in 2009 plus savings acct 10k. I hope thats enough for 3 person income level.

Good to hear that you are going make some money there too .

Let's assume everything (i.e IV and AOS) was entered into the system on 11/22. After everything is in, it takes 8 days to get SIF. So 11/22 + 8 = 11/30. But wait, there's more. There was a holiday so that's going to add 2 days to your SIF line. So 11/30 + 2 = 12/02. So you should have your SIF by this Friday. Granted if there are no RFE. No need to worry just yet.

You won't have any probelm with your income, bro. But speaking of income, can I borrow couple of grands from you during January? I'll pay it back in 6 months with 4% interest. That's way better than what you can earn in a saving account.
