I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone here at Visa Journey for the support and advice throughout our K1 process. We were finally approved after 7 long months. I had one last question before we travel together back to the states. Does my fiance´s airline ticket have to be a round trip or can it be a one way ticket? I am not sure if immigration is looking out for that... Thanks agian!!

My fiance (now wife) was able to get a cheaper one way ticket from Barranquilla to Miami and her agent accepted my credit card also - so do a little research and get the best deal - one way or two way - whichever is cheaper. And rebeccajo is right - AOS is more work and more waiting - you are not done yet by any means. Good Luck

Yeah I don't think it matters, just go with whatever is cheaper.

Why is it that round trips are cheaper? It was a difference in the hundreds of dollars when I looked the other day for James.....

Congratulations!!!

Go with whichever is cheaper... mostly it is roundtrip... but occasionally you can find a one-way that is cheaper.

Good Luck!

You can buy a one way ticket, the K-1 visa allows it, but often it's cheaper to get a round trip. So whatever works better for you.

Hi, so for my sake ok as Im a bit put of touch with the travel thingy, if my US fiancee wants to come over to the UK to be here with me prior to my going to the USA and she was to book herself a return ticket from there and also book me a return ticket from there because its cheaper that way but I obviosly would not be using the USA Outbound part of that ticket just the return half then that would not raise any eyebrows with the POE Officer ...is that a correct understanding of this situation, because her booking flights there including a single flight for me to go back with her would make my single ticket cost almost twice her return fare but if what you say is ok then we can save maybe 300 bucks by booking 2 return tickets and dumping the outbound half of my ticket.
