I look at everyone for 360 threat-scan purposes. And then I re-evaluate "high-threat targets" be that a dude that might be difficult to beat up or a chick that may be worth having sex with.

During the medical exam in Kiev they check the blood for one or two most dangerous STDs, but she can take a test at her regular female doctor's for additional $, which is said to be not very expensive. As for the quality of the Ukrainian tests, in the USA it would probably be bettter (=more reliable testing in the lab), but the earlier testing would give her additional time for the treatment prior to coming to the US to be with you if the treatment is needed. I was never in the Navy and my buddy who is - well, let's just say the annual testing doesn't do much when he gets shore leave every few months. It's not like they step back on the boat and get "the swab." (For the record... they probably should!)

Because I was in the Air Force and they get about the same respect.

Not because it was illegal or wrong, but because they'd been told (and probably knew from personal experience) that we had a higher rate of STDs than everyone else.
