Here's my replies...

I may take the following approach: Having myself tested. Sending her the results. And stating that I could pay for an exam for her.

Why test yourself if you've never? Your both adults, there needs to be a level of trust. Talk about it but don't push it like this...sends the wrong signal. You need to be the man and have confidence; speak with some married men about their views.

Or I could just assume that we'll be ok, as per the exam she'll have.

You'll be OK.

I was in the box, but after leaving Mormonism (there's plenty of adult Mormon virgins), loosing 110 pounds, & getting rid of my thick glasses things are looking up. She wasn't in a box I don't think, but was doing other stuff. I don't know the exact time frame for her.

In any case it sounds, based on what I've read elsewhere and your advise, that the medical exam in Kiev may be sufficient for her.

I would not be inclined to send her back regardless.

I am leaning toward either a.) letting the Kiev exam play out and going from there with nothing more, or b.) having the Kiev exam go of course and getting myself tested & sending her the results & telling her I'll pay for her to be tested if she wants.

But option a may be ok, since I've not been in the Navy and so on. Rather the opposite.

My bachelor styled house shall soon be converted I am sure.

I'll check that out.

You might think of just going out and donating blood.

They give you a certificate certifying that you gave and with every donation there is a test for HIV.

You can go back and do a second donation - the fact that they give you a certificate for the second one

shows that the first one was clean, because if you had HIV they would not accept you for a second one.

I had no problem accepting my wife's K-1 medical as proof and she had no problem accepting

the numerous dated blood donation certificates that I was able to provide her with.

That was covered in my first (of many) visits. She didn't ask me for updates on any subsequent

visit but I would have been happy to provide her with them had she asked.

Blood donation costs nothing and you come away with a good feeling.

I would drop it. There is no need for you to be tested, the results cannot do you any good and any continued efforts on your part could cause problems. Whatever she did was before you, so forget it and NEVER go there. DO NOT ASK. Nothing good can come of it.

I would agree with you on this Gary, but metinks the reason the OP wants to get his/hers tests is that he wants

to be 100% sure she is clean, which is reasonable up to a point but not really practical as long as she has undergone

the regular physical which already includes those tests.

There is no point in him getting a test, unless SHE demands it;

then go for a blood donation or to a conventional clinic.

I don't see anything about that on this thread.

I would agree with G&A about not going there. Just enjoy each other & be happy.

The OT forum is no place for virgins!

Indeed. There may be two types of virgins, the supposedly willing still-in-the-box type, and the highly reluctant one who works to get out of the box.

I've been the latter, which is why I worked to improve my life, via: leaving the conservative religion of my youth, loosing 110 pounds, getting rid of my thick glasses, buying a house, getting a good job, happily taking in all there is to learn & know about human culture & interactions from many sources, becoming a teacher [even an ESL-type teacher] for a time, going to Ukraine three times, living away from home including in Portland, Texas, and Alaska, and so on, and getting out there and socializing more and even organizing some social groups).

We each have our reasons for seeking out someone and being in the situations we are in. And there's a deeper connection that we both have felt.

More fundamentally I would like to have kids and she does also and we have spoken about this as well. But I do plan to help her go to school for a couple of years, and then we can do the kid thing. But I know surprises can happen. But we also cannot put the cart before the horse.

First she must come over and we need to see each other more here, and so on.

So anyway, we'll move forward...

Why, I'm curious. Is it a Ukrainian thing?

Ummmm..no.......it's a man, and a woman thing.

The man shaves before bed so that the stubble doesn't scratch the sensitve areas.

PM me if you need for more 'splaining.

You do know you have to get married within 90 days of her entry to the US?

And you do know what most folks do when they get married. You'll work it out, happens all the time and some things do happen very naturally.

But agree, DO NOT push the testing issue. The past is the past and it should stay there. The tests being done will be acceptable and you can test yourself for your own wellbeing, on your own and can keep them personally private.

And I'm a virgin. ;-)

Then why the hell are you getting married?

Of course - the real question to ask yourself is -

Why the hell am I getting married?

a Ukrainian female who claims not to have been sexually active in years.

I call bullsh!t. Ukrainian women do it like rabbits.

just as one shouldn't say the same about Thai ladies.

I happen to know, Thai women do it like rabbits too.

Always shower before bed.

Always shave before bed (you'll learn why, ask her)

Candles, soft music, champagne and massage oils are very helpful

Totally unnecessary. Just whip it out and make the "whoo hooo" sound as you shake it back and forth.

a feature of Ukrainian women that one of the things they expect from a man is being able to satisfy those...um, needs.

The key to making a FSU/US relationship last. It may not be perfect, but she aint goin anywhere if you take care of her.

I could just assume that we'll be ok, as per the exam she'll have.

That sounds like a winner. Why would you get testd for STDs when the S and T part of that acronym have never happened?

First she must come over and we need to see each other more here, and so on.

I'd suggest having sex before you get married. A lot of sex. Sex with other women, too. You don't want to be stuck with some bad pu$$y for the rest of your life. You also don't want to get a piece of @$$ and say to yourself, "holy $#!t, that was so awesome... why haven't I been doing this forever?" Because if you do, and you're married, it's already too late. You're going to look at that hot piece of Eastern European poontang sittin on the sofa and say, "man, she's great.... but she's all I'm ever going to stick for the rest of my tired life."

Don't be that guy. I mean, you wouldn't buy a car without test driving it first, would you? Also, it'd be like driving a Porsche while still on your temps. You should know how to drive - and have driven POS cars for several years - before you can really truly appreciate how a finely-tuned, custom-crafted automobile can be a pleasure to drive. If you just jump in that Porsche, that's all you'll ever know, and then even Cobalts, Fiestas and Civics will start looking good.

You don't want to be married to the hottest POA in the room and fantasizing about the fat waitress. Trust me. Get out there, sample what life has to offer, then CHOOSE what to wife up.

Way to cut through the cr@p, Slim. But you are forgetting that he's engaged to a Ukrainian woman. Once he's been introduced to her charms, he won't be looking anywhere else.

Hang in there Birdman2010. The donation of blood is a good idea but don't plan on it too soon before she arrives as you are going to need every ounce of strength your body can muster.
