Hey,

I am lucky and unlucky to have my boss I have. He is willing to Sponsor me but only recently confessed the last time he sponsored someone was 1978. So in short he has no clue. As far as speciality occuptation etc all boxes are ticked, it's a few tricky fundamentals I am worrying about:

So I have two main questions:

1) He is currently paying all his employees by cheques. My understanding is a prevailing wage is calculated by the medium of the other employee's wages? If they are not officially on a wage, is this a serious problem for me? what are my options??

2) I understand you can either go premium process or standard which is considerably longer. If I take the standard process route am I still allowed to stay in the country while my application gets processed.

I appreciate all the help I can get as my visa runs out in just over a week!

I pay my employees by cheque, or check. Quite normal. What they get paid may or may not have any influence on what you get paid. Prevailing Wage means something else.

No, you will need to attend the Consulate for your interview.
