Can anyone in the Philippines (in Manila) do me a favor??

This may be sound stupid but is there someone nice enough in the Manila area that will do me a HUGE favor..? I know you don't know me but I'm SO desperate... my birth certificate is severely damaged and I need to have it replaced.. I've gone to the e-census website to order a replacement and the National Statistics office told me that they can't find me in their system and that I would need to have someone come to the City Civil Registrar's office personally to endorse my birth record to the National Statistics Office (NSO)... believe me, I've tried to contact family members in the Philippines to ask if they could do it for me but everyone seems to be "too busy". I've also tried to call the City Civil Registry office to see if there is anyway I could get around that and they told me the same thing... if someone out there can help me, please contact me! :help:

I was just wondering why you were able to get a Philippine passport without your birth certificate?

I do still have my birth certificate. It's just in bad condition. The Philippine consulate understood my situation anyway after I explained it to them. They're nice at the embassy here in Chicago... Plus, it's not like it was my first time applying for a passport... I was renewing it.

Oh, your timeline explain everything. I don't know if the old passport requirements but what I do know now is that NSO copy is required before you were able to apply for a new passport or for renewal. :ot2: Anyways if they are asking you to do a supplemental (CCRO thing), they will still require you to present your certified xerox copy of your birth certificate (issued by the municipality of your birthplace) before they endorsed it. I did the same process when I requested my birth certificate online and I ended up receiving my copies without my first name on it.

I doubt if they will entertain someone who is not related to you. They will still asked for your ID and your representative ID's and letter of authorization.
