Confusing issue

To preserve residency, I'll need to have lived in the USA for 1 uninterrupted year to be eligible to file n-470.

At this moment, I have already lived here for uninterrupted 1 year as a LPR. What if I leave the country now and after I come back, in a month the company i work with decide to send me overseas, do I still meet the fact that I've lived in the USA for one uninterrupted year? In other words, does it have to one full year as a LPR at anytime or one full year right before you file the n-470?

Does this make sense or this is stupid thinking?

I am not familiar with the N-470, but how long are you going to stay outside the country (if you know)?

I don't think you need to worry about N-470. From what I know, a LPR becomes ineligible if they travel outside the US for 6+ months and spend more than 18 months (out of 36 which is 3 years) outside the US.

This is what I know and I may be wrong, but double check prior to going through this process and waste $305. During your work outside, as long as you are still paying taxes to Uncle Sam and you keep connections here, then I believe you are good to go.
