Well, I guess at least I got the biometrics appointment on 10/20 10 am at West Sacramento ASC.

Unfortunately my husband found out that his training and test day is on that day as well (he works for the law enforcement)...

Now we are thinking about either reschedule the appointment or walk-in...

If you guys were us...what would you guys do??

I would do a walk-in ASAP, explaining the situation. I was in a similar situation, in Houston, and they let me do it no problem. If it doesn't work, then you can reschedule! good.gif

How far is the ASC from you? You may want to try doing a walk-in...some members have suggested going between Tuesday and Thursday, after 12 noon (very crowded in the mornings, especially on Mondays and Fridays, or so I have heard). I would have wanted to do that too (we received our biometrics letter last Monday), except our ASC is a 2.5 hour drive from where we live :( and I can't risk going there as a walk-in...that would be hard on me (am 35 weeks pregnant now) and on my husband (who has to get off work to drive me and our daughter there). Our appointment is on October 14, 8:00 a.m.

On the form, there is a check box near the bottom there that allows you to reschedule the appointment. You'd have to photocopy the notice and then in the instructions, it says to mail in the original notice at the address indicated.

Estrell - are you the beneficiary, and your husband is the USC? In that case, he doesn't need to come to the biometrics with you... it takes a few minutes is all.

If the other away around, then do as Valerie says... you can also just do as Valerie says anyway and try for the walk in. Worst they can do is tell you no, come back for your scheduled appointment.

AOS for my husband

D'oh, good catch, Harpa. I was running on the assumption that she needed her husband to drive her, because that's what happened with mine. Sigh. Gotta remember to think, sometimes.

Although, advising people to just do what I say...has a nice ring to it. I think you should maybe come here and tell some people I know that! laughing.gif

Oh, driving... I forgot about that... I guess I have been in NY too long and was thinking about public transport... I just sent my husband to his appointment (and his failed walk-in attempt :() on his own on the commuter rail to a strange town... and I think he only got lost a few times... oh and he bought the wrong type of train ticket...nonrefundable... lol

As to you other comment... sure, I'm on my way! :P

wow!! You guys are awesome!!

That's actually what I was thinking too..walk-in and try it first.

Now, since it's 3 o'clock in the afternoon already, and my hubby has to work tomorrow. I guess we will have to try it next Tuesday.

Is it too soon to do that? or It should be ok.

I'm sure the Sacramento ASC knows my hubby's working place... hopefully they will be more understanding...
