Yey the day has come and we are leaving to the airport. A long trip await us from Puerto Rico to Ukraine. Our first stop is in Miami and I am a bit nervous about the storm heading over there. Can't wait to see my love standing there at the airport  Hope to come with good news. Thank you all for the helpful advices

Think good thoughts and the trip will be fine. You should have a great time in Ukraine, although autumn will be much different there than in Puerto Rico.

Have fun!

Ensure your beneficiary makes and brings with them to the States a copy of the DS-3025 (vaccination form)

Thanks all we got approved today!! It was a breeze but we wait from 9 until 2 pm to be interviewed. One more week in Odessa left, and the best is that I got a call yesterday, I got a new job. Great week.

Thanks!! Today is our last day in Odessa, we will head to Kiev, for our long trip back to Puerto Rico. We had a rough start because the plane in PR "broke down" we had to go via Chicago and then wait a whole day in London. We arrive in Kiev a day after we planned, but after that all was a breeze. The medical was as expected we were done quickly but had to wait 3 hours just to pay! We were out at 12:20 then went to the city to have lunch and then back to the clinic at 3 pm to get his results. Then we have a free day to enjoy the beautiful city of Kiev. While looking the Motherland monument I got a call from HR that I got a job offer and that I should start this next Monday (I lost my previous job the same week I sent our petition)

The interview day came, we arrive 10 minutes before 9, all was as described in most of the reviews, long lines outside, that we pass by. We arrive to a waiting room, were a girl took our documents, more than half of what I brought was not needed. :wow: From my co-sponsor, no prove of citizenship, just our local taxes forms and the I-134(as we are from PR we don’t file federal taxes, I was so worried about this, we wrote a letter explaining why we could not show the federal taxes forms , no letter of employment nothing else was asked for) Then we hand in our prove of relationship, the woman took half of it because as for her it was enough. She took all documents needed and put them in a pink folder with our approved petition.

The we went to pay the 350, got a recipt for it and hand it to the woman that took our documents at first.

We wait around 2 hours and got called for the finger prints. Then we wait and wait and lunch time came. They told via microphone that we could go out and be back at 1:15. We went to have lunch in an Armenian restaurant near, went back to the consulate at 1:10. We were thinking we should be called next, but no, 3 couples that arrive after us got called before. Then at 2pm we got called (our interview appointment was at 9 am) The interview took just a few minutes, the consular lady told me Hi, took my passport, then give it back and told me "Please have a seat in the waiting room" She and Genia had big laughs I was  As my fiancé is working in France now, she wanted to conduct the interview in French jiji but my fiancé is not too fluid in French so they end up doing it in English.

Questions

1. How you first met? And my fiance end up telling her our whole 5 year story

2. What are your future plans together?

3. then when telling bye she suddenly ask "She is a PhD too?" No, then she told ooh okay, I was thinking she was a PhD too.

Then she told, "you know each other for some time already, I wish you good luck." Then she told, "With this pink paper go to the FedEx guy outside"

I was jumping of happiness in the waiting room .jijij There were 2 ladies waiting for their interviews and they were jumping too

After we went to the fedex guy, pay for the delivery.

Our interview was on thursday, next monday we got a call from fedex, that they will deliver the passport that day. The passport was delivered in Odessa around midday monday.

We are extreamly happy, we will be together for the end of the year

Now back to the sunny island of PR to start a new job, plan a wedding and wait for my love yes yes yes

Thank you all for making our journey easier while sharing your knowladge.
