Actually, what I found interesting (but left unsaid last night) is that I was in Carteret a few days ago and the place is in the middle of a serious boom.

Carteret (NASDAQ), Secaucus (Direct Edge), Weehawken (BATS) and Mahwah (NYSE) are the main data centres.

Carteret/NASDAQ is one of the "nicer" ones - it might not look like much on the outside, but inside it kicks some serious ####.

Carteret/NASDAQ is one of the "nicer" ones - it might not look like much on the outside, but inside it kicks some serious ####.

Don't forget 165 Halsey in Newark, which is still the main carrier hotel, with more cross connects than any of the other northern NJ sites.

Mahwah still isn't open for customer colocations. NYSE/Euronext only just moved NYSE and AMEX matching engines there over the past few weeks. ARCA won't move there till next year, and they won't be installing customer racks till next year either.

Yeah, I know... the move to Mahwah is still in the planning stages. I do have racks everywhere else though.
