I hope my husband's experience will help others loosen up and be more normal when in their interview.

My husband went to his interview on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 8am.

He had a VERY GOOD interview. The man who interviewed him (he was told was A HARD CO )was about the same age as my husband, 34 years. He was very nice to my husband and saw he was sincere in his answers and he only asked him a few questions.

The CO who interviewed him knew English and French and VERY little "small" Arabic words so my husband spoke in English and French with him, Alot more in English. He said the interview was easy at the start and the CO mentioned something about his wife had sent a lot of documents so my husband took that this meant too much, lol. He didn't ask him for anything else... so I am thinking a GOOD THING!!!! I front loaded our case at USCIS with complete conversations randomly for our meeting and first year...The CO only looked at one of the Mix-Book albums I created of our "Journey of Love" (wedding party, first trip, poems, graphics, memory page of my first page, etc.)and he only looked at 4 of the 99 pages in the book! They DID READ some if not all of our e-mails/chat records because the CO asked my husband if he was sick? He told him no and then he asked him 'What about Vertigo?" My husband's answer " I had it for about a week and the Doctor told me I am ok" He had vertigo in 2009 I think.

My husband said, "he asked me about ur life kids...ect, and what I like in your character and what we share. His answer was "I like when she saw me watching soccer and she don't stress cause that she knows I love soccer but she tries to respêct this" He told the interviewer(CO) that we shared watching movies and he said the CO tried to be clever by asking him what kind of movies. He remembered we watched an American one together and he told him we watched a famous one filmed in Alabama "FORREST GUMP" with Tom Hanks. The CO smiled and said he did not know why my husband's face seem so familiar to him. My husband told him maybe he saw him at the beach resort he worked at. The Co said he had been there and he liked the resort a lot and played golf there. My husband told him if he could visit soon and before he leaves, lol, he can invite him to his city and the resort there. He asked my husband "he said why i will leave a nice place like Morocco and Mazagan" His answer...." i said i can feel the places are only nice with the woman i love, just with my wife.

Right after this conversation, the Co told him he can have the visa he was APPROVED!!!! javascript:emoticon(':)')

Before the casual talk....The CO also had asked him the birthdays of my 3 children. My husband also told him about something tragic in my life which my father made some bad choices in his life and when I was 17, he went to prison. My father stayed 10 years and died of a heart-attack (This would have been in Federal records BTW) and I and my siblings went to separate homes. The Co asked him to tell him details about my father. My husband's answer to him was "all i know is sell drugs and i don't ask too much questions to my wife about that cause its part of her past and better not to ask about something like that"

I am 7 years older than my husband and the CO did not ask why he married someone older and also did not ask him why he did not marry a Moroccan woman. "My husband's words to me were "cause all my answers were very special so I'm sure he said no need to ask more that he will give me good answer, lol"

His interview lasted about 10 minutes!! He said there were at least 5 other men there who was denied!! In all the small talk,...the CO forgot to ask him to leave passport photos so they called today and asked him to bring them in the AM so he can still pick his visa up at 3 tomorrow. My husband asked me if it was ok for him to come in one month, he could not wait longer, Bless his heart. He knows I have been remodeling our home preparing for him. and of course I told him, baby you can come NOW!!! I was being nice to allow you time with your family. His mom is very sick and may need surgery so it's best he sees she gets medical attention and then we will plan his flight home to Alabama.

That is so lovely! Congrats!!

if you gave your info (receipt #s, full name, etc) to anyone on VJ under the guise that they would "help" you through the immigration journey with his inside contacts (like his sister at USCIS) ... please contact OLUInquiries@dhs.gov, and go to http://www.whitehouse.gov/contact to report anything suspicious. Contact your congressman and senator's offices as well.
