Hello Everyone,

It's been a while since I posted here. Hope you are doing well.

I filed the I-130 petition on April 16, 2010 and got the NOA on April 23rd.

It's been 5 months and we're still waiting for the approval from USCIS. This is taking way too long and I'm wondering why it's taking so long.

Has anybody else filed in the same month and received their approval? Or are you still waiting?

Should I call the office and find out what's going on? What's the best way to get through?

Any helpful advice is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Michael

I feel for you. I wrote many letters to both my senators and congressman and USCIS also filed complaint letter to NVC. I mailed my refile in on 5/10/10 and got approved letter in 8/26 and it has already been forwarded to consulate. I don't feel too confidant for the second go around from previous experience but since immigration is a hot topic in the news today I felt I should make as much noise as possible. You have to admit that this is making lawmakers look bad when people are waiting 3+ years to get their loved ones to the US legally. I can tell you that your senators and congressmen have people in their offices that read yours letters and will respond. Tell them about your experience. Being silent won't help.
