I did send a letter to my Congressman too and have them follow up with the Embassy and they said that USEM emailed them back. The IL fw the email to me and it just basically said that they got the docs and is processing it, it also states that thye will contact applicant which they did and informed my parents that they got the documents and is processing it. IL said that if we don't get the visa within this week or hear back from the USEM to call them back and they will follow up. So we'll see I guess if my parents can get their visa this week.

Crossing figers. This is crazy long journey...

Same what Harry Reid's office personnel told me when she called at work today, still under review and to call her again next week if nothing comes up.I also called the embassy Thurs. and the lady (very nice and polite)at the end of the line told me that she will follow up on it and to call her again next week. She was saying that missing documents esp. Cenomar takes a while, she was saying the the embassy itself would pick the docs at NSO once a week and they do it per batch,I'm not sure what she meant by it because the phone hung up, not sure if it's on my side or her's :crying: ,guess they would cut it off after they tell what they want to tell you, :help: :help:

Embassy phone call not equal DoS Phone Call.

If yer a USCitizen, in the USA, it's EASIER to call DoS, get Status.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Darnell, thank's I will do just that first thing in the morning Monday.I didn't bother to call that number because I was thinking that it's a number for people that their papers are under AR here in NVC and DHS.I was under this impression that after NVC sent it out to the embassies then that's where you have to deal with your problems.I emailed twice, called once,Reid's office did a follow once.Same person with the same interview date (Aug. 26)with my brother also needed the same document, already had his visa delivered yesterday.

DoS Hotline knows status on the casefile, after it's left NVC, up until the VISA has been mailed out .

Sure, it's a day off, usually,

but they DO KNOW ALL. The Embassy IV Units and the DoS Hotline share the same computer data. If there's any casenotes by a Consular Official, DoS won't tell you, but usually that's a trivial thing.

the Dos Hotline Human™ knows

--when it arrived at US Embassy (maybe)

--when the casefile was opened

--when the Packet 3 was sent out (if yer country still does this)

--when the appointment date is set

--when the packet 4 was sent out

--interview date

--interview results

--any AP/AR status

--when the visa was sent out.

hey guys!!!

finaly my wife got her visa on 10-04-10 and now were ready to book a flight!!!! POE LAX

Hey - that's great news !!!!
