Hello there,

Our interview was for AUGUST,10 2010 at 9.45am at the Philadelphia, PA office. We got there at 9.20am.

At 9.45 the officer called us, he was nice and easy going (still serious). He asked those yes or no question from the I-485 form then asked how and when we met, looked at our pics, asked me to choose 2 and give for him to file. Everything was pretty smooth (the whole interview didn't last more than 15 min).

But the officer realized that my DOB was wrong on the i-485 form (our bad, we missed - it has my husband's year of birth instead of mine). Well, the officer said that because of that they will have to run a new background check and after that I will receive the answer for my process.

He did not say it as approved, but he took my I-94 card and said that it would take 30 days for me to receive the card, he also explained that "the first Green Card expires in 2 years". So, we are pretty confident that everything is fine and that I will get it. I am wondering if any of you have has been though anything like this?

I've read about Green Cards emitted with wrong DOB, but in my case the error was caught on time. I guess it is better than having to go though the whole i-90 process. What do you think?

Note> It has been more than 45 days and we haven't heard anything from the USCIS.

There are 2 things you can do, but only 1 of them (infopass appointment)will get the answer to your situation solved:

1st: check your "status update" and bring the info to 2nd: make an infopass appointment since the 30 days you were told already have passed... here is a link to the site to do all of that: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis

Hold on, I just thought that you could also call 800 375 5283, press 1 then press 1 and tell them you have a question about something else and they may help you get the answer you need (if you dont get a good answer, call again and again to see if the person on the other side of the phone will help you instead of sound like a recording machine...)

Good luck!!

And BY THE WAY: them taking your I94 means that you were approved... and as you said that he said: "you should be getting your card within 30 days"... but since you didnt get anything, follow my recommendations above..

Congratulations!

Parabems pra vc!!
