I received an update about a k3 i129f approval but nothin about the i130. is it possible that they dont approve'em together? I thought they are supposed to be approved together knowin they both been touched on sep 24th, 129f updated on the 27th

09/29/2010: NVC received the case, Case# received, IIN received, Both email id provided

09/29/2010: I-864 AOS review fee ($88) online payment

09/30/2010: I-864 AOS status 'PAID', AOS package mailed out

10/15/2010: I-864 AOS package delivery

10/15/2010: I-864 AOS package completion

09/29/2010: DS-3032 Choice Of Agent emailed to NVC

10/06/2010: DS-230 IV fee ($404) online payment

10/07/2010: DS-230 IV status 'PAID', IV package mailed out

10/12/2010: DS-230 IV package delivery

10/12/2010?: DS-230 IV package completion

10/12/2010: NVC completion due to APPROVAL OF EXPEDITE REQUEST

10/15/2010: Received by Consulate

10/19/2010: MEDICAL EXAM

Sure it is possible. You can call USCIS and find out about the I-130 or you can call NVC and see what, if any, petition has been received for you

Yes it is possible. Few people in VJ has got their I-129F approved before I-130.

Though NVC says K3 visa path is DEAD, there are cases where I-129F is moving first. But K3 path is really waste of time and money. I do not recommend K3 path.

So, call USCIS to check what is happening with I-130, as canadian_wife advised. Wait a week or so. Most cases I-130 will also be approved soon.
