I have read over and over again on USCIS site that if I had a medical in my home country I do not need to have a medical nor do I need to see a doctor here and fill in 693, all I need to do is send in my 3025 from my medical doctor in Australia with all my vaccinations on it.

So many have asked this I know but I am so confused, do I need to see a surgeon in Augusta to fill this 693 in to send in with my AOS?

The USCIS site says I do not on the I-485 instructions sheet. I like so many others don't want an RFE either but don't want to do unecessary appointments when I don't have to. As my husband has to take time off to get me to all these appointments not that it is an issue but so many of you are doing this 693 form and getting your vaccinations transferred over from your original medical in your country. Where it clearly says on USCIS that you don't have to, just send in 3025 form from doctor.

Thanks for any help

Can you quote where it clearly states that because I've never seen it and would like to read it. I've always found it to be a little unclear, but maybe they've updated.

Edit: I mean the part where it states to send in your DS-3025.

If you are a K1 fiance who had a medical exam within the past year as required for a non immigrant fiance visa you will only need to submit a vaccination supplement not the entire medical report. you may include the vaccination report with your I-485

As I can't copy and paste I have written this word for word so I don't see why I have t go and get a doctor to transfer my vaccinations over.

Are you with me on this lol

This is why the consulate asked me to get the DS-3025 as we needed it before I left.

This doesn't say to send in the DS3025, but it does say if they have it, you don't need anything else.

Medical Examination

If you received a medical examination prior to admission as a K nonimmigrant, then you are not required to have another medical examination at time of adjustment as long as:

Your Form I-485 is filed within 1 year of your overseas medical examination

The medical examination did not reveal a Class A medical condition

If you did have a Class A medical condition, you received a waiver of inadmissibility and you have complied with the terms and conditions of the waiver

Even if a new medical examination is not required, you still must show proof that you have complied with the vaccination requirements. If the vaccination record (DS 3025) was not properly completed and included as part of the original, overseas medical examination report, you will have to have the vaccination report completed by a designated civil surgeon. In this case, you are required to submit Part 1, Information About You, Part 2, the vaccination chart, and Part 5, the Civil Surgeon's Certification, of Form I-693 (in an envelop sealed by the civil surgeon). Please see the instructions for Form I-693 for further information.

Well the thing is they do have it and I was told to get a copy as well before I left to come here as I would need it and my vaccinations are all up to date as well I have records from my own doctor of blood tests she did to check immune system so I think I am clear to just send in the 3025 (vaccination supplement) just to be on the safe side and have copied the rest from my doctor.

That's all I did (send in the DS3025), but I just sent it in last week so not sure if I'll get a RFE or not. Hopefully not.

It's your choice. If your DS-3025 is marked "complete" for vaccinations, and your medical test results survived the trip from the US consulate to USCIS, then you might be approved without an I-693. On the other hand, the IO might decide that they want confirmation from a civil surgeon that the vaccinations really are complete, and might send you an RFE for the I-693 with the vaccinations transcribed. If you read through this forum, you'll see a lot of people who've gotten RFE's for this.

The IO has discretion to determine if the requirements have been met. If they decide to send an RFE then you usually have only one chance to satisfy their demands or they'll deny the application. If you responded to an RFE by quoting the form instructions then that's probably what would happen to you. Most people choose not to risk it, and just get the vaccinations transcribed by a civil surgeon.

To me it clearly states in the instructions if medical and vaccinations were done right the first time, there is no need to do it again, yet a lot of people keep saying to get your vaccinations transcribed by a doctor here,Many people have not done this and got approved no problem...It's a pain in the #### trying to find a doctor that will do this as most have no idea what it is your talking about, and if they do they will charge you an arm and a leg.....

I know what you're saying Joe I found a local doctor in my area so I will give them a call just seems such a waste of time to me to go and get a form filled in for $50 or more, when it is already done and my vaccination report is complete. I will ask if they do it and how much first. lol

Thanks for that Jim and hey lets hope my medical reports made it ok from Airport to Uscis as I know they got there safely I had them in my hot little hand. I have read a lot on the medical 693 just seems such a waste of time to me but will get it transferred over if it makes it easier and no RFE. I am 52 so am fully vaccinated and looked at a the chart for my age group and its all done. I have read so much on here with what people have sent in and its mind boggling to say the least. Especially for the 129f and then the visa aplication , I did not send in half of what some have done but still got approved ok , just didn't overkill gave them what they asked for and that was it. Thankyou again for the advice .

So it doesn't say send the DS3025, which is what you said it clearly stated. It says "the vaccination supplement" which is NOT the DS-3025. The language is old from when there was a "vaccination supplement" called the I-693A, a separate paper from the medical form of the time, Now the vaccination supplement is part of the newer version of the I-693 medical form. (it is Part 2)

That is why people are going to a civil surgeon---to get the "vaccination supplement" aka Part 2 of the I-693 filled out.

Not everybody who gets the K1 visa has all the required shots for AOS. You can get a visa with zero shots, but you can't get a green card. So they complete their shots in the US and have a civil surgeon complete Part 2. If you are 100% certain that you meet the immunization requirements for AOS without further shots, then you can submit the DS-3025 only, to indicate you have a record certified by a panel physician of the shots listed. It does not have to say "complete" at the bottom. It can say incomplete...eligible for a blanket waiver. But you have to be sure you've had the necessary shots. Most adults need MMR, Tdap, and Varicella (or VH written on your DS3025 showing you had chickenpox and don't need the varicella shot.) If you've got those on your DS-3025, I would skip the civil surgeon. That's what we did and no problems. You can always spend your $50 later if needed. An RFE is not a huge deal. (My opinion)
