I am an American Citizen & filed the I130 in Oct/05 & received the approval Oct-26-2005. I've paid the $70 fee & the $380 fee. A week ago I received the package w/the I864. However I have a 3 month old baby & have been residing in the DR since 11/03, I am not employed, my husband is a taxi driver & he is the one supporting us. I have a sponsor & can put assets but I know nothing compares to me having a job in the states. I also have an address, bank account etc in the states.

Someone mentioned the K3 visa. Should I file that in order to be able to get him a visa & travel w/me to the states & wait for the process there. Do I need to fill in the I864 anyway or can that be done once his K3 is approved & we are residing & working in the US.

Also I believe they request the initial receipt(when I filed the I130 as proof to be submitted w/the I129 application. My niece mailed the package for me from the states & received the receipt in the mail & now she can't find it, is there someting else I can submitt. I received a notice that they received the $380 should that be proff enough that I filed an I130.

Any help w/be appreciated

Filed: Timeline

K-3 = I-134

CR1= I-864

you need to be finding a co sponser now, since you dont work. keep in mind if he arrive on K-3 he will have to adjuststatus and will not be able to work right way. so maybe you should finish the Cr1. since you paid the fees. really you have a few more steps before case compleate.

you have to submit the agent of choice < packet >, then the DS 230 < packet >. NVC is really processing this stuff super fast.

keep in mind that at this point the K-3 wont be faster.

because 2 reasons. the I-130 was approved. when it finally gets aroudn to the I-129f. your husband will be ready to interview or better yet becoming home.
