Hello Everyone,

Today i received 2 approvel notices for my 2 brothers overseas (pakistan). In both the notices it says the above pettion has been approved.the pettion indicates that the person for whom you are petitioning is in the United states and will apply for AOS.He or she should contact the local uscis office to obtain form I-485,application for PR.

If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for a visa outside the US based on this pettion, the pettitoner should file form I-824 (filling fee $340 each).Application for action on an approved application or pettition ,with this office to request that we send the pettion to the DOS(NVC).

Never in the application process I indicated that they are in the united states neither they are in US they never been to the US before,I don't know if they made a mistake or it's the process for siblings. Please if anyone have info or was in this sattuaion b4 shed some light on it for me much appriciated.:help:

These are info "IF" scenarios, IF the applicant is in the US or IF the applicant is Outside the US. If applicant is in the US....

1. the pettion indicates that the person for whom you are petitioning is in the United states and will apply for AOS.He or she should contact the local uscis office to obtain form I-485,application for PR.

2. If the person for whom you are petitioning decides to apply for a visa outside the US based on this pettion, the pettitoner should file form I-824 (filling fee $340 each).Application for action on an approved application or pettition ,with this office to request that we send the pettion to the DOS(NVC).

So my Question was did they make a mistake by assuming they are in the US or is it the normal process for the I130 petitions for siblings. Because thats what it says " the above pettion has been approved.the pettion indicates that the person for whom you are petitioning is in the United states and will apply for AOS.He or she should contact the local uscis office to obtain form I-485,application for PR."

Agian they(the beneficiaries) are not in the US they never been to the United States.

The best thing to do is to call the ibs with your case number available and ask them. Don't just assume anything bcuz this seems to be a problem. Call them and read the letter to them word for word. It'll help :)

And don't just call once speak to more than 1 person because that way u get more accurate info. Hope it works out :) inshallah
