Divorce Decree Stamp

I have a copy of my Divorce Decree. The last page has the official clerk of courts stamp on it. It`s not a ink stamp but the type of stamp that is pressed into the paper. The problem I`m having is that the stamp doesn`t show up very well when I copied it in a copier. Has anyone that you know of ever had a RFE for this ? Any info you can pass along would be appreciated.

Have you tried a 'photo scan' at high res, of that page?

If so, print at high res, also.

Usually, if scanned at high res, can do some hue/color shifts in photo editing software,

and then the seal shows up.

Dont know if its the same for phils interviews but at my interview they requested to see the original copy divorce decree of my husband from me. My husband mailed me it before the interview, brought it to the interview and he looked at the stamp etc and took a copy of it during the interview.

Steve my now husband had to supply an original but he did not have one so he had one of his divorce decrees notarised and sent to me in Australia by express mail as US consulate wanted it before they would give me my visa. they did not accept the copy we emailed them.

please understand - when to show / what to show.

on initial I-129F submittal - must show photocopy, photocopy must show the seal/stamp.

on interview day - MUST SHOW original OR certified copy (certified by the court).

Thanks for all the responses. I went downtown, which I was trying to avoid doing and got a certified copy of the decree along with a much better embossed stamp/seal. It copied very nicely. They charged me $1 per page which came to $6 for the certified copy. If you just wanted copies with no certification it was just .10 cents per page. All they did was make regular copies of the decree and one blue page for the certification stamp. Sounds like a racket to me. from .10 cents per page to $1 per page. The only difference was the stamp which was just a machine the clerk inserted the blue page into.
