Hello fellow May filers! How are we all doing on the waiting game? I haven't seen any approvals for May (or any other approvals for that matter). I'm on my 4th month waiting, 1 more month to go. Do some of you have any good news to share? Are we all just still waiting or have some been approved and not just updating their timelines?

THough csc is the dept processing my papers , It seems like nvc and csc arent approving yet any may filers , but I can feel it is very soon because they are touching april files last month , Hope they will approve our papers first and not jump on the other month , because I think may filers are just very few , Anyway good luck for all of us , Hope we will finish soon so other months will be approve also before the 5th month came ..

Hi,

We filed our I129F in May with VSC. Sent on May 11th, NOA1 received on May 14th, NOA2 received on June 22nd. I had heard nothing from the embassy in London by the 30th of August so I called them only to be told that they had sent my letter out on July 5th!!!!! The letter never made it to me but the (very expensive) helpline gave me the info i needed (strange i know!!!) and, although i was frustrated to have wasted 6 whole weeks just waiting i had the forms already filled in and ready to go.

I mailed my packet 3 documents back to the the embassy (September 1st) and expected a letter of interview roughly 6 weeks after that. Obviously with the last letter not reaching me, i was antzi so after 4 weeks i called the help line and gave them my reference number to check for a case update. They told me that the forms werent showing on my file as being processed yet and that this can take 4 weeks from the date of delivery (i was glad to have sent them recorded delivery!). After this i called the following week and then the week after again - still nothing i was given an email addy and i duely sent the email, i got a very nice reply telling me it can take 6 weeks for the forms to be processed and just to wait it out. I called the next day and they said that my case was updated to say the forms had been officially processed on 29th September and that in approx 6 weeks from then, i should receive packet 4.

That makes it 12 weeks from when i sent packet 3 before i get packet 4 and the interview will be scheduled with 4 weeks notice. I have been pretty patient with the whole thing but i am so disappointed that after the inital delay with packet 3 instructions and now another 6 week wait i was really hoping to finish my job before christmas and ship out January but that sadly wont be possible now with all of the delay. Best laid plans and all. Still im not grumbling about it - we've waited this long and at least we're getting closer.

Im surprised that so many other May filers are not as far along in the process, i think we just got lucky and our file was dispatched to another service centre to be processed because of a backload of work.

Good Luck to those still waiting, hope all goes smoothly!

This is very weird that you May filers have not heard anything yet. My fiance and I filed at the end of June 2010. We received our NOA1 3 days after. And we received our NOA2 just 3 weeks after, on July 15th 2010. I guess we got very very lucky. I got my visa last week.

My only guess would be that I have had many US visas before, I studied there, worked there, paid taxes and have a SSN, so the background checks the USCIS makes must have been very easy and quick.

The wait should not be too long anymore for you, it seems like everyone is getting touched, that is a good sign.

Good luck everyone.
