My husband only works part-time since he is a student, so a friend of mine is going to co-sponsor me for the I-864. She lives with her husband. So would she have to claim me, making a total household size of 3, even though I do not live with her? Thanks for any help!

The intending immigrant is always included in the household size of any sponsor. Part 5, line 21.a of the I-864.

Thanks!

Also, like I said, I live with my husband and he did not make enough so I have a second sponsor, who does not live with us. So do I consider them two joint sponsors, or is my husband the petitioner and my friend is the first joint sponsor? How exactly do we determine what kind of sponsors they are? Thanks again!

Your husband is the petitioner and your friend will be the first (and only) joint sponsor. Good luck with that form!

I am the US citizen, my wife is the applicant.
