Lost old passport with used visa, will interviewer still see my old trip?

Hi, I went to the US earlier this year with a j1 visa. I came back on time to my home country, but then my passport was stolen. I now have a new passport (though with no stamped visa from before because it's new) and want to apply for a tourist visa. I heard it's easier to get if you've been to the US before and came back on time, which I did. But will the interviewer be able see that on his/her computer or something, since I don't have the old stamped visa with me? Thanks so much for your help in advance!

That's a common case, yes, they will see it in their system, they may or may not see the date of when you went back home...
