Hi everyone! My name is Kristin and I'm a bit nervous but glad I got this website from someone. I'm currently looking into the process for the k-1 visa, have a british boyfriend and we plan on getting married sometime next year. We've known each other for about 9 years now, and have probably lived with eachother for about 6 months after meeting a year ago practically today! I've been looking into the entire process and have a couple questions.

1. Is the price $1805, the cost of the entire process including the petition and other costs with the visa when your fiancee does their part?

2. He wants to visit here, meet the family some more and have us get the marriage/living/etc things sorted, he'd only visit for a week and a half or two, and I'm curious if this is actually possible for him to do? I know that with the K-1 visa he can only arrive in the U.S. once, he has to arrive 6 months after the visa is issued and we have to be married with 90 days of that. I was just wondering about before when I was sending in the petition and that?

Thank you so much and I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot more from me in the future!

Best,

Kristin

Kristin,

I would definitely post your questions in the K-1 Visa Forum in order that you get the most accurate answers:

After you receive your Notice of Action 2 - it will be time to gather your requested information for Packets 3 and 4:

If you find yourself not understanding how to collect your materials for Packets 3 and 4, be sure to post your questions to the US Embassy and Consulate forum:

Good luck with everything!
