Mine was simple as i have lived at the same address for 21 years, hers also as she was there for over 5 years thus one address was all I needed for that but if you lived on a permanent basis while at the uni I think the better one would be the uni-address if that is where you received your mail while there. But I am not certain you must list both

Question, on the G325A form, it asks about applicants residence for the past 5 years, i'd have to put down my uni address in london as well as daniels address if i stayed with him too????

You don't need to list addresses you just "stayed at" for a while. List official addresses.

And on the emails/chats thing...you're really making more work for yourself for no reason. That stuff is for the embassy/interview stage. I'll stop saying this now if you insist on including them. cool.gif

Thank you!!!! yeah I was a bit worried, I was at uni for a semester, but just at his for about 2 and a half months in total, wasn't sure if that counted or not.

Ah, fine. You have a couple months at least to get interview materials ready, then.

That's good to know. I've got another question though, going through all these papers. But first off I greatly appreciate EVERYONE'S help so far :)

1. on the G-325A form it asks for my occupation abroad, should I put the internship I took part in while I was in London?

I can't seem to open any PDFs today, so I can't see the G-325, but doesn't it just ask for your work history? I would personally ignore internships. Someone else can clarify.

Ignore the A#. That field is a little confusing. You don't have an A#; don't put anything there.

Thanks for the A#, and it says "Last occupation abroad if not shown above."

And well I didn't get paid for the internship, it was just a 4 month thing. any other advice?

I don't think it will hurt if you put the internship in that box, and I don't think it will hurt if you don't. I don't think internships are considered occupations. You'd write "intern" under the occupation portion if you want to include it.

There are a few instances, when filling out the forms, where there are not incredibly clear-cut answers to every unique situation and life history. The forms are general and somewhat broad so that they cover everyone's basic story.

You will not be penalized for interpreting questions to the best of your ability and filling in your information with the intention to be clear and honest. In this instance, a good faith interpretation could include the internship, and a similarly good faith interpretation could leave it out.

In my opinion.

Thank you!!!! How do you know what Service Center to put on for the address on the cover letter? And it is $455 for the I-129F correct? With the Birth Certificate, do I have to send the original? Or can I make a copy of it and have it notarized?

Copy of the Birth certificate (front and back) for the US Citizen or a copy of ALL pages of the US Citizen's passport issued with a validity of at least 5 years. No mention of notarization in the guides.

455, by personal check so you can track it, or USPS money order. Send by return receipt.

All petitions go to the Dallas Lockbox now. That address is okay for your cover letter. Or you can figure out which service center it will eventually be sent to and put that address. Won't matter.

when we are doing our fiance letters of intent it says we both have to fill it out. So I am doing these two and putting it with my I-129 form, however it also says "when submitting for interview" does that mean we have to do it again for that? How do I know which service center to use and where are the addresses for that?

Your fiance must sign one and send it over. Add your signed letter and put them both in the initial petition packet. Use the template on this site for both--they'll look exactly the same except for the original signatures.

Do it again before the interview so the new batch of letters is renewed and current for that stage. Yes.

The addresses thing is getting a tiny bit vague because they've just changed it so that ALL petitions go to Dallas before being sorted out to the regional service centers. Go to the USCIS website to find your regional center address if you want to use that on letters. It won't ruin anything to put Dallas on there, though.
