Hello, Our interview was on August 26, 2010. When my fiance Olga first move to Russia from Uzbekistan She saw a sign on the subway door " help obtaining work permits". She met a man there gave her passport, and $ 80 dollars. The next day he brought her passport back and a work permit. Then she got a job the next day. A few months later the ministry of affairs came to her work and checked work permits. She had to go to court and she plead guilty of Obtaining a false work permit, a $ 100 dollar fine. Her police certificate was clean, din't show this it was 3 years ago. Also her Uzbekistan certificate was also clean.

We stated this on all applications. At the interview everything was good, interviewer asked her about what happened and she told him she was young and naive and now knows her actions were wrong. He then asked if she has had any other trouble, which she never did. The officer said ok your passport will arrive within two weeks.

Now it is one month later We called last weeek and the said administrative review. What are they doing? Name checks? Does anyone have any insight on this , or knowledge from previous experiences. Will she get her visa?

Thank you so much for any input. Adam

Hello, I have read your story carefully. There is nothing to be worried about. Since the Consulate did not request for additional evidence from her, means that all the paperwork is very ok. Also, having her passport kept by the consulate is a good sign of receiving te visa. It might just take a little time for the review but believe me, she will get the Visa. For me I'm here in Finland, neighbouring country to Russia. I went for my interview on July 30th, 2010 and at the end they said they will review my case and they will get back to me in 1 week. It's almost 2 months now. But i know i will get the visa very soon because in my case, no additional document was requested and the interview went fine. So my dear, dont loose hope ok. She will be approved.
