You are right of course. I do not make those decisions and I apologize for not saying what you wanted to hear...that means I am probably wrong and you will have your visa in a couple weeks. Good luck with that. First my opinion is disregarded because maybe I haven't talked to him since last Thanksgiving...oops. Now it is because maybe I haven't discussed the issue of expedited cases. I have. Maybe it is because we didn't discuss the issue of expeditied cases for people who need an overnight babysitter and have a hard time to find one...You got me. Dead to rights, we have NOT discussed that. That should give you hope.

It is rather childish to disregard opinions that are not the ones you want, because they are not the ones you want. If what you wanted was someone to say "Sorry to hear about your difficulty, sure ask for an expedite, good luck" then say so, I did not understand that to be the case and volunteered my opinion based on what I know, which may be nothing more than what pots his wife gave to my wife. Yeah, you could go with that.

At any rate, the decision is not made by VJ popular opinion poll. It is made by the USCIS. Ask.

Good grief. Have you ever realized that one of the truest movie lines ever was spoken by Jack Nicholson. "You want the TRUTH? You can't HANDLE the truth"

Gary, have you not noticed the MANY of other replies from VJ members, that answered like you did? That it doesn't seem like extenduating circumstances, most likely I wouldn't be approved, etc, etc, etc? Apparently you haven't because it didn't fit your arrogant attitude. I had nothing to say negative towards any of them. They all gave their opinion of no but "hey go for it " or " it may actually set me back". None were arrogant, but you. Thats what I don't like about it. You come across as an arrogant know it all jackass.

If you would of said something more like that you know a former adjudicator, you have had discussions in the past about similar topics and your opinion is that it would not be approved. I can respect that and appreciate it. You also can back it up.

There is the truth. Stop the arrogance, quit acting so matter of factly and just pass on the knowledge that you possess.

You asked the opinions of members of an unofficial immigration website about a specific case. Do you see where this is going? WHY would you do that if you will then impeach the qualifications of people that don't blow sunshine up your tailpipe? I mean, next time just ask for opinions and say "Good answers only please" Then at least I will know you aren't serious. My qualifications to answer would be right up there with the top of any you received. But you wish to disregard them. At some point you will have to accept reality and do something about it for the sake of your children. In the meantime, ask for a K-1 expedite.

I wasn't asking for sunshine from anyone and didn't expect it. I'm sure your somewhat knowledgable on the subject and prob. more than most here. I don't think you have any qualifications to answer a specific question as this so definitively. but your surely qualified to provide your opinion.

I'm personally really done with your childish bickering. I didn't sign up here for that. Just drop it.

There was a post about medical needs due to care from a surgery that was approved to expidite. It was for a shoulder surgery I believe. I have an issue with my x wife/ custody of my children. I'm pretty sure that I will be awarded full custody of them due to her history. The problem is that I work 12 hour night shifts on a rotating schedule. I will have to find someone to watch them a few times a week while I work. My children are young. Who better to care for them than the woman who be in their lives anyways. I'm not sure if it will work or not but the judge can write me a letter, I'll have the new custody orders and copies of her criminal(drug, neglect) records as evidence.

Unfortunately, I'm not making this up.

Anyones opinion here?

The problem is that I work 12 hour night shifts on a rotating schedule

Been there, done that. GOOD way to grow old FAST.

How's the first graveyard when you go back?

OP, actually my husbands schedule differs to yours, his is day (6am to 6pm) and night (6pm to 6am), 12 hour shifts rotating like this:

3 days - day shift

1 day - off

3 days - night shift

3 days - off

4 days - day shift

7 days - off

4 nights - night shift

3 days - off

REPEAT

It's completely retarded but the pay is good and so are the benefits so it's working for now. When we have kids?? I might change my tune.

Actually you also are being the childish one. You have three choices:

1. Get a regular job and pay for the child care.

2. Keep the job and pay for the child care.

3. Ask for the expedite and hope this doesn't derail the visa at the interview (already been discussed).

Since you have a good paying job, the child care, which will only be for a relatively short time, should not be a problem.

In life you have to make choices and concessions and compromises and sacrafices. Good luck.

I do not say "it may set you back" because I have no such knowledge of that. I do have knowledge of the other things. Note also that to none of the other posters did you challenge their credentials, even though in the FIRST response to you I said "hey, go for it" Being knowledgeable and sure of one's answer is not arrogant, it is being sure of one's answer based on knowledge. When something IS a "matter of fact" it is a matter of fact. You do not have to like it. I find it amazing you would rather have the opinions of people who are guessing thatn someone that knows. Maybe the guessers make you feel better about yourself. Koom by yah! So sorry, but I am not going to ACT or write as if I do not know, when I do know.

I know current adjudicatorS (plural) I do not know any "former" adjudicators, except one who was an adjudicator many years ago and the an immigration officer and then the director of a local office and now a department director at VSC. I know people that are reviewing I-129f s right now. I live a stone's throw from the VSC and they are a major employer here, probably one of the largest in the county.

and I will do another thing that no one else did...tell you how to get denied

File your I-129f normally, when you get the NOA1 call the 1-800 number with your receipt number and ask for the expedite (K-1s are NOT eligible for the paid expedite service) They will take your request and give you a receipt number for your request. You may get a call back for further details, you may get an NOA2 in the mail in about 2 weeks or you may just ignored. Expedited I-129f s are processed within 14 days.

Darnell, You're right, and I completely agree up to about 90%.. But, there are times when the belittling is un-called-for.

I think the OP's question (even though it will likely get denied) is a good one for thought when you consider reasons other expedites are approved.. It's a good discussion. Unfortunately (not to un-commonly here on VJ) it simply got derailed because of un-needed insults..

Boy do I hate to see this kinda treatment of decent people posting legitimate questions..

I don't think the point is how much anyone knows, or who turns out to be right it is about arrogance.. It is possible to reply and make your point, without being a jerk

Legitimate questions shouldn't be met with ridicule..

Gary, you've had some wonderful advise on here, but sometimes, your replies are just insulting..

To me, some people feel they can come on VJ or other forums and throw their attitude around becuase they can hide behind thier computer, but no one deserves to be treated disrespectfully no matter what you think about the question or how little you feel they know.

There isn't a single person on this thread that should feel they can be arrogant and rude to others..

I see this kind of response often from many on VJ and it's really ashame we cant simply answer a legitimate question without trying to belittle the OP for asking..

sometimes you just wonder if the replies on here are from grown-ups...

This is a public forum, unless this forum is your little toy, people should be able to post their questions without the pointless feedback.

Hmmm. And Gary almost had me thinking that it was me. LOL . Seriously though, his answers are belittling and so matter of fact. Thats why I questioned him on his answers. It has nothing to do with his answer that it will be denied, like many others here have said.

As is always the case, my first response with the correct answer was not in any way belittling or insulting. However, when someone who does not hear what they want to hear challenges another, over and over, with further and further excuses as to why the opinion that person does not want to hear is wrong...what happens?

If you wish my opinion, I will give it to you respectfully, completely and accurately. If I do not know, I do not answer. You will never see one of my posts that says "Well, I am not sure, but maybe you can..." The closest to that may be "Check with the consulate, the answer is consulate specific..." If you wish to insult me by way of making yourself feel better about an informed opinion that just isn't what you want to hear, try not to be offended by the result.

In answering questions some people are all sweetness and sugar and some people spit out facts. I fall into the second group and I think G&A do also. The style is cold but not hurtful or arrogant.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
