Ok I'm the U.S.C. I sent I-130 to bring my step daughter. received I-797 NOA 9/2/10. So were at the beginning of this process. The daughter, She was under 18 when her Mom and I married. She has no Kids or never been married. She is now 19. My wife now holds a permenate resident card

Here is my ?. My Wife is going to Visit Her/our Daughter In Ukraine Leaving this Tuesday 9/28/10. Is there any documents about me that I should send with her for her daughters interview later. I know the interview is probably months away but if there are any documents, copies, ect that I can send now. Or documents that my wife and daughter can start to get ready while my wife is there. any info would be appreciated... Thanks

Did you get your letter from NVC requesting the I-864 yet? We submitted the I-130 for my step-daughter two years ago and just got our request for the I-864 about two months ago. We are still waiting. The difference is that we were married a few months after my step-daughter turned 18. Hope yours goes faster.

We have not needed anything to send yet.

If the interview is months away, no. She will need the I-864 sent to NVC and they will tell you when. She may need "letter of invitation" from you, but for an IR-2, maybe not. Obviously you accept her into the USA if you petitioned her. We did a K-2 to follow which is a little different and uses the same petition as the K-1.

You can ask the consulate for a list of needed documents, or get it from the website, and prepare what you can.
