AP can take from few weeks upto 6 months, NORMALLY!

hi muskan as you know this is the game of lucky and unlucky because 1 out of 99 percent males is going for AP i dont know embassy take your husband passport or not if they dont take your husband passport its not a good sign because when your husband AP is complete and embassy request for your husband passport it will take another extra 1 month or 45 days to recieved visa with passport and this is normal

no one can predict how long it will take but i will guess it will take another 2 to 3 month and you will hear good news soon and please pray for me iam also wating for my noa2

you for sure need to contact the congressman. coz even for ppl with green card, it takes a year. look at the priority dates. they're reviweing the cases applied in august 2009. call up the uscis # and ask the operator to put the request for u as well.

They took my husbands passport, after the interview. Which was back in January and we're still waiting ! I'm assuming it's his name that is causing the longggg delay !

There is no time frame for AP. It can take frim 1 to 6 months in most case and in same can be longer. My father was in AP for about 7 months.... Goodluck to you...

hi muhammad and maryam as my knowledge of experience your husband case is different and special compare to other AP visa wating members because your case category is different than other your case category is change of religion category and there is a lot of other factor involve in your case and this type of case have a different process which mean every single process take extra time and i think your husband AP normal 6 to 8 month process time is complete as my knowledge of experience your husband is now last category process stage which mean USCIS DOS AND NVC every 6 month arrange secret meeting this meeting purpose discuss only religion type of cases this meeting decide they satisfy with beneficery and petationer case or not if they satisfy both petationer and benifecery case they issue him a usa visa if in case officer can not satisfy with both case it will take more extra month or time

Dear Muskan!

Inshallah sooner you will have him with you. By law every male in between age of 16 to 8o years has to go to AP unless there is already clearance reports available in data base. At islamabad if they have taken passport, then mostlikely you are going to get your passport within two months. as minimum time they take to send passport back is 2-6 weeks unless they mention that they need further processing. It might be new information for all members that if any benficiary/applicant has ever submitted his NIV visa application alongwith biometrics at earlier stage, at time of Immigrant Visa interview normally his case is immediately decided and is not kept pending for AP. Logic behind this is that data of applicant is already available in data base and is run millions of times in week so no fresh checkup is normally required. Its a good idea to apply for NIV before or during immigration process, though you might be refused, still at time of immigration you will not have to go through AP.

If your husband has ever submitted his biometrics in connection with any visa application before, you should expect to hear about his case within fortnight.

Plz don't scare other.. I disagree with your most reply. I can tell you Muslim name or to become a Muslim and or belong to a Muslim country will not create above mentioned problems. But they do check your name and relationship which take time in AP...I have same things as Muhammad n Maryam, but my AP was only for about 3 weeks...
