I know the i-134 form is needed for the K-1 visa and the i-864 form for AOS, but how much ($) is the petitioner required to show for supporting two beneficiaries? (me and my daughter).

And if petitioner doesn´t meet the poverty, is a co-sponsor allowed for both cases?

Check out the I-864-P document - it contains all the #'s for you.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Ok, so for the i-134 the sponsor has to meet 125% poverty guidline, which is $22,887. For AOS has to meet 100% poverty guideline which is $18,310 (in our case that is). Am I right?

I have read that the co-sponsor will have to qualify solely on it´s own individual income but read too that combining incomes is allowed... Which is correct?

And I´d also like to know if more than one co-sponsor is permited in either case.

Thanks in advance.

The I-134 does not allow more than one joint sponsor whereas the I-864 does allow more than one joint sponsor.

You can use income from other household members (living in the same house) for the I-864. You cannot do that with the I-134.

I believe based on the text of page 1, lower left corner under "How is this form used" it says 125%, not 100%

Good luck.

You´re right, it says "You must show on this form that you have enough income and/or assets to maintain the intending immigrant(s) and the rest of your household at 125 percent of the Federal Poverty Guidelines."

Then where did I get the 100 percent? I know I read it somewhere...

Thanks for your response!

Petitioners who serve in the military only need to meet 100% of poverty guidelines.

Everyone else needs to meet 125% of the poverty guidelines.
