Do I have to send in multiple copies of everything? I see that 2 passport pics are required for petitioner and for beneficiary, but do I need that for each form that I'm sending? Because I'm sending the AP, EAD, i-864, i-485, basically everything except a waiver, all together. Do I need multiple copies of the g-325 also?

Also, has anyone ever sent in a money order? I got one for the package yesterday, but the bank's system automatically put "no cents" instead of "00/100" like the USCIS asks for. Will that be a problem, or is that just applicable to checks? Thanks in advance.

Another questions, while reading some other posts I read that you have to send in the I-130 if you have a long overstay or something like that. Does that mean that you don't have to send in the i-130 if you are on time? I just assumed that it was necessary since it was in the list of AOS forms to download. Please help.

Only the beneficiary needs to submit passport size pictures. 2 for each application (AOS + EAD + AP), 6 total.

G-325A is only required with the I-485, only one copy is needed.

Not sure about the money order...am sure one of the members can help you with that. :)

What they are asking you to attach to the AOS is the NOA2 (approval notice) of the I-130...not the I-130 form.

You're adjusting status based on K1, so you need to submit a copy of the I-129F NOA2, a copy of the marriage certificate and a copy of the I-94.

I've never filed an I-130, does this refer to the I-129f approval notice?

You may want to use a certified copy...can you guys secure one from the county where you were married? (am assuming you married in the US)

Ok. It is ok to just use a photocopy? the guide says "certified" copy.

I know I risk being pesky, but I don't want to mess this up.

So I do not need to send in the I-130 or any of the things on the list (USC birth certificate, evidence of marriage, etc.) ???

read the AOS thread mentioned in my signature. It's K1 specific.

Good luck :)

**Edit - a regular photocopy of your marriage certificate is all they require. If you want to send certified you can, but you don't HAVE to.

If you didn't arrive on a K3 visa, no. The adjustment of status instructions on the VJ Guide combine details for K1 and K3 visas...just follow what applies to K1 visa holders (you).

You may want to visit the links Vanessa and Tony posted.

So no relationship evidence is needed for the AOS? This is a big paradigm shift for me.

no relationship evidence needed to FILE with AOS, but you will need to collect stuff in case you have an interview. Such as joint bank accounts, health insurance etc
