You are not in the chearleading thread, but I just read somewhere that you have a I130 DCF thing Tuesday. I know your case is special and Tuesday might be just another step in a long process for him, but I'm hoping something positive comes out of it. Do you know if you get to join him at the interview?

Good luck and ask them all the questions you want to ask. (can't say they will answer) But try to get as much as you can out of them. Face to Face is the easiest. The people at the embassy are pretty nice. Mustapha has not had any problems with them unlike other embassies.

Thank you. I am actually kinda excited to go there lol. It just seems like finally we are turning on the road that holds our future, while the past year we have had all detours while we were in the states........maybe one day ill be at peace.........

Yep i will ask them lots of questions, i am just hoping they dont tell us based on his past record that they cant even apprve the i130 that is my biggest fear......because getting that apprved i think could be harder then gettin the waiver apprved.....i knw that is weird to think......

Well.......we are on our way.......we have the petition filed now we sit on our hands and wait while they send it 'for further review' because of George's previous problems in the US. he told us it could take 6mths for this step and then they will contact us and tell us what waivers we need to file. sooooo at least we are in the system, and now i can start working with all my heart on the waivers!. i also found out if we file the 212 and the 601 together we only have to pay 265 once not twice at the time we file!!

We thought we were just going to turn in the paperwrk but we get to the counter she takes the stuff and tells us to go pay and that we would have an interview after that........so he goes and pays and like 15mins later they call us for our interview, they asked us questions seperately and i am 98% confident we did alright, only thing i blotched was when he asked me where we sleep i told him on a sleeper sofa pulled out...and George had told him on the sleeper sofa matteress on the floor (which is the case) but i didnt want to tell them we have a couch in our room because they might take that as us sleeping seperately.......but then he asked me to describe the whole house and i did and aced that part.................so i guess they cant say we arent living together lmao, he asked me about our sex life lol............that is all for now we will knw more hopefully sooner then 6mths but we wait til then

Thank you all for your warm wishes!!

Way to go - sounds like they're accepting the petition and the questioning went well and they didn't give you residency troubles so I'd say you had a good day.

Good Job. Hopefully it won't take them 6 months to get back to you about the waivers.
