the only check i combined was the AOS and biometrics fee.. EAD and AP should be separate checks

Example of why you don't want to do this: your I-765 application is sent back for more information or missing evidence. Because you only wrote one check to cover all three applications and biometrics, they send everything back. Had you written separate checks, they would have started processing the other two applications and just sent the I-765 back. Could have happened to me, I neglected to send an additional two passport photos for the I-765 application, but I wrote separate checks for everything.
