Today I passed my test, and they gave me a paper in which it says"Congratulations!!!Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time, it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified when & where to report for the Oath Ceremony"

The IO told me that within 60 days they will send me the letter with the appointment for the Oath.

All of you guys had the same paper, and it was for real within 60 days from passing the test date you had your Oath.

Congratulations on passing your test. I don't mean to impose on your thread but how long after the NOA do you receive the biometrics letter? My fiance is in NY and he sent in his application sent in his application on the 25th and received on the 1st of September (e-mail & text confirmation). He then received the hard copy on the 4th of September. He tried the number on the NOA to track it and its not in the system and we haven't heard from USCIS as yet. When should we worry about not receiving the Biometrics letter?

By the way, what questions did they ask you for your interview and test? How was your interview experience exactly?

Good luck with getting your oath date and good luck in getting your oath ceremony. And yes, do post about that on VJ too!

Ha, still wonder if its you being approved or the performance of your IO in that your interview was done correctly.

Well, welcome to twilight zone number three, waiting for your oath letter to come in, but not nearly the tension of getting your AOS or your ten year green card, should be good to stay here for the next ten years with that under your belt. But still will be tense, you have no reason to, but history tends to repeat itself. If applying for a US passport, another tense period as to whether you will ever see your certificate again. Then, I think its over. Well, not quite when you learn your spouse still has to maintain her foreign passport to visit her mom.

Other tense times was having an appointment during the winter season, will we have a major snow storm? But at least the Lord had mercy on us and never missed an appointment. Ha, the Lord has mercy, the USCIS does not.

NickD, so true what you say......again some waiting time...........but it's a less stress than before!!!!!!The USCIS has not mercy sooooooooooooo true!!!!!:-)

Hello Ant,

tks so much for your "congratulations", my interview went smooth, and the IO was very nice & very professional. The only one questions I remember I was asked are "What's an amendment", and "What's the capital of your State" and then for some reason I don't remember the others............but I got all of them right away, so she didn't ask me more than 6 questions. She just gave me a paper in which it says I passed the test and then she added that within 60 days I will get a letter to tell me the date of my Oath, and then she congratulated with me!!!It lasted all together 20/25 mins, I guess.....and it was pretty emotional at the end....almost like a liberation to me...............

My fiancé priority date is August 30th and I told him to call yesterday because I was expecting to have the biometrics letter by now because he wants to visit me for about a week around the end of October. When he called they said it takes about 31 days for the NOA and if he don't receive it by then to call back.

Oh...I see.......maybe it depends from the Immigration office you are depending on....I just hope everything is going to be fine!!!Good luck for your "journey"!!!!!
