HELP CASE APPROVED AT NVC FOR EXPEDITE -PLZ WHATS NEXT

Hi all,

Just to share with u all, my son was approved for expedite and the case is at the consulate in Lagos – Nigeria. All through the night I and my husband was awake (time difference ) trying to get hold of the embassy in Lagos to know what is next because my son is in a remote village where he cant be reach by mail from the embassy. To our shock the phone kept ring out. We did send the embassy email but we only got auto reply which didn’t answer our question.

We only got NOA2 from USCIS b4 the case was expedite and move to Lagos Nigeria.

Now in Lagos Nigeria, I don’t know where we stand if I cant get them on phone to tell me what to do next. Do we schedule an appointment or what? Could there be a package 3 I need to get from the embassy before I schedule an appointment?

We appreciate useful input from all.

If you filed out your timeline we could help a bit better. Seeing that you are in AOS I assume you are either a k1 or k3 couple. Are you doing a follow to join visa within 1 year ? Does you child have the shots he needs ? Did you read the guides Children of LRP/USC

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

I had sent you a message asking something, did you get my msg.? I was asking what was the reason that you presented as your expedite request and what documents did you submit with your request? Thanks for help !

My NVC Journey

10/12/10 –NVC received the file

10/15/10 -NVC case # generated

10/18/10 -Called NVC and gave both beneficiary and petitioner email addresses

10/19/10 - Beneficiary emailed DS-3032 to NVC and also mailed the hard copy

10/26/10 - Called NVC and got the IIN

10/26/10 - Paid AOS fee $ 88.00

10/27/10 - AOS fee status shows "PAID"

10/27/10 - AOS package expressed mailed (next day delivery)

10/30/10 - IV fee bill generated and paid immediately

10/30/10 - Received AOS fee bill and DS-3032 kit and also received the confirmation of receipt of DS-3032

11/04/10 - IV fee bill status shown as "paid"

11/04/10 - Sent IV package (next day delivery)

11/06/10 - Received IV instructions packet (packet 3) via email

11/08/10 - AOS entered into NVC system

11/16/10 - AOS was reviewed and OK'ed

11/18/10 - IV entered into NVC system

11/24/10 - IV package was reviewed and generated artificial RFE for missing photographs (which was actually submitted with the package)

11/26/10 - RFE response mailed out

11/29/10 - RFE response delivered to NVC

12/08/10 - RFE response entered into NVC system

12/15/10 - SIF :)

12/15/10 - Case Complete :)

01/03/11 - Interview date assigned for Feb 15 @ 1:30 PM

01/17/11 - Medical done ! Passed

01/25/11 - Re-scheduled the interview for Feb 1 @ 1:00 PM

02/01/11 - Interview @ 1:00 PM - Approved :)

02/03/11 - Visa picked up from USEM

02/12/11 - POE @ JFK

I have approved for expedite process and the operator at NVC told me that my case was sent to the embassy on August 23, 2011. I called the embassy today ( I know it is too early) but they said they don't receive it. how long does it take receive expedite case by the embassy.

08/02/2011 Paid AOS

08/03/2011 AOS fee marked as PAID

08/03/2011 AOS package sent

08/04/2011 IV fee invoiced and paid

08/05/2011 IV marked as paid, IV package sent

08/08/2011 IV and AOS received by NVC

08/12/2011 REF and returned in the same day

08/15/2011 REF received by the office

08/15/2011 REF2 false

08/17/2011 REF3 false

08/22/2011 expedite granted
