1st step.. read the Guides

"Every one of us bears within himself the possibilty of all passions, all destinies of life in all its forms. Nothing human is foreign to us" - Edward G. Robinson.

All you can do before you meet is fill out the forms that are provided by VJ in the guides that have already been linked for you. You will have to meet, gather evidence that the meeting took place, before you can send in your petition.

Please take a chance to read through the guides a couple times, and practice filling out the forms.

When Chris and I got engaged and decided to go through the K-1 route, I had NO IDEA what it required and had never heard of it before, I read the guides, downloaded the exmaples of each form, and everything became clear. Read the guides thoroughly before posting questions that are too vague, you have better chances of getting a clear answer after that. It looks complicated, but it really isn't.

Good luck and :guides:

You are about to embark on a long frustrating journey. Take your time and relax. Look through the guides and make a list of what you need from her and what you will need to provide and file when you return. Rushing causes errors, which delays the process. If you organize your data properly, pay fees and completely fill out all requirements, then you will be planning a spring wedding. What could be nicer?
