We filed at the very beginning of June. They received our petition on June 7th. We received an NOA1 with no instructions and we have not received an RFE or anything else. The only and last time it shows our file was touched on their site is June 10th. The USCIS timelines for Vermont show 5 months from start to finish for an I-129f/K-1. This is driving us nuts not knowing where we stand who to contact, or if anything has been done with our paperwork. Many others who filed around the time we did, and even some after, have gone straight through. Some even already have their visas and are planning their trips to the US. We have heard nothing and it just doesn't seem fair.

It is not 5 months from start to finish. It is 5 months to get the NOA2 which gives permission for the embassy part of the visa to start. That can take several more weeks or even a few more months after that. You are right on track. So until November you can't really do anything but sit back and wait.

Welcome to about 90% of this forum. Read peoples timelines and things. Everyones waiting its apart of the process. DO things to keep busy. Pick up new hobbies. Vermont is slow right now. You'll be waiting 5 months minimum. Its a painful process, but its sped up from years ago believe it or not when it'd take years to process.

I-129F petition approval maybe in november/december.

Maybe.

Remember, please - an I-129F petition is NOT a K-1 visa.

If you study yer own timeline, over at http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=82450 , you'll see some timeticks in it, that might make some sense - each thing takes time.

I am with all of you.. As one poster stated, it is about 90% of people on VisaJourney waiting for NOA2.. My NOA1 was received and dated (hard copy) June 2nd and has been touched twice (last time August 17)! We both are so frustrated and anxious.. Now I read after 9 months of waiting one poster received an RFE.. What is going on with all this? I've called California and they said until is reached the 5 month mark, there is nothing they can do.. Good luck to all of us..

I remember us waiting and feeling like time was just creeping by, just hang in there and all will come together. When things do start to move again they will move fast. Good luck and hang in there, it will all be worth it when things come together.

I just saw in our Brazilian forum of K1 visa, that one of the girls got her NOA2...she sent her petion in July, and already got the damn NOA2...how unfair!

I don´t know her service center tough... :crying:

Yeah I mean, I knew I'd have to wait...but it seems like no one has gotten an NOA2 that filed in June/July from the CSC. This is worrying me. If they're over a month behind it's just going to stack up and I feel like they'll never look at our file. I'd feel so much better if others were hearing SOMETHING from them.

Yeah I just had another look at the CSC timelines and in the past 25 days only 6 VJ petitions have been approved! Ugh it's ridiculous and frustrating!
