Converting qualifications

Thanks Vanessa&Tony, that's a good idea.

My boss admitted to me when I went back to work there, that he was in the wrong, but he was too embarrassed to call and apologise and he said he was certain that I would show up to work the day after, (which obviously I didn't).

He had hardly any recollection of that night as he had drunk so much, so I'm glad I did what I did, but you are correct in saying that it could be taken different ways depending on the person reading it.

I think your suggestion is the right way to go. It's not the real reason why I left...after all, I would have still been working there if he hadn't have fired me in a drunken stupor, but concentrating on the positive is the answer.
