:dance: that is good news  Now off to NVC. You have checked out the Timesavers and Shortcuts, yes? If you feel confident in using Jame's shortcuts this can save you an enormous amount of time at NVC. Some members have had completions in under 2 months.

Thanks for the tip! I've read through them as well as the tips you gave me before. I'm debating whether or not it would be a good idea for us because we're planning to move in September and it could actually be a bad thing to get approved too early because if I'm not mistaken you have a brief "window" in which to make the move! I need to figure out how long that window is first to make sure we don't get approved too quickly :).

Visa is valid for 6 months so even IF you get the visa few months early you are right to travel  Im thinking it still could pretty much nearly take you up to September even with James Shortcuts or the Timesavers. From being assigned case number to completion at NVC at a minimum is going to be around 2 months with James Shortcuts.....then you wait for an interview date to be given to you by NVC which can be 2-4 months in Montreal, according to the Embassy Info link at top of page.

Just remember that if you do use the shortcuts to make sure you follow the instructions in the USCIS links in my Timesavers thread for those in Canada. Both DS-230 pt I & II and all documents etc. need to be sent.

All the best in however you decided to do things
