Incitement of racial hatred and incitement of religious hatred are not protected by free speech in the UK. Looks like they charged them with incitement of religious hatred on this one. They could have also added burning without a fire permit if they wanted. Lucky the UK doesn't have any laws against being stupid or they could have got them for that too.

It's not really a question about crying it is about doing something with the intent of offending a person with something that is as personally meaningful to a person.... as is possible.

I think people should have the right to do these things on their own property and among like minded friends.

But I don't think people have a right to commit obscene things in public.

It would be like someone wearing a tee-shirt with a photo of your mother on it, with the words Mrs so-N-So.... is a C_nt

These types of insults about Christ or Muhammad or other religious figures are just as personal to many people.

And just like insulting someones wife in public is a "incitement" to violence .... in my view, so are these type actions (and Low class I might add).

The point is not that it means anything to you, the point is you know it means something to others and the obvious intent is to offend.... Just like the tee-shirt with your mom on the front, to me your mom means nothing but I know it does to you or most normal people.

Look I am all for free speech, but this is no more speech than screaming in someones face is.

Tescos is odd, they've started to enforce a dress code for the customers - one of my mates got turned away when she tried to buy milk after midnight in her PJs.

I used to see people do that in Walmart all the time.

What does a life time ban mean in this instance? I am sure he can never enter any Tescos wearing the T-Shirt and the store where they nabbed him might recognize him for a while, but without wearing the t-shirt how the hell does Tescos know who this kid is in order to turn him away?

I think this habit of wearing pyjamas outside is odd -how did it start anyway? Are there not enough sloppy outdoor clothes?
