Hey guys...

I have applied for adjustment of status in June 2010 along with my I-765.

My case status for I-765 was updated on September 17th stating...

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On September 17, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

Now obviously i was expecting my EAD card in post but yesterday I received another case status update stating....

Application Type: I765 , APPLICATION FOR EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production

On September 22, 2010, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

what does that mean now? They have already ordered production of my EAD on September 17th why did they do it again yesterday? Is it because of a spelling mistake they found in my EAD card and they had to order it again?

Plus there is another TOUCH on my I-765 case this morning (September 23rd) around 10AM.

VJ Experts please help me understand this.....

Many thanks for the help in advance. Bless you guys!!

This is how they do it. You will get three emails. Why is it redundant? Who knows. Don't sweat it.

*does the calm dance*

Edit: You will get the physical card within 10 business days of your approval, so for you, by October 1st.

It means the EAD is approved. They will send a separate notice saying your card is under production.

Same thing happened to me. I got an alert to my phone, that my EAD card product has been ordered on the 11th of June. And I got an other one /same message/ on the 15th. Nothing to be worried about :)
