Hi guys,

I'm about to get started on my journey, which by right should have been finished. (interrupted by illness).

Anyhow we are finally going to tie the knot next month (here in Jamaica). Now with all these immigration issues the whole process looks rather confusing.

If you all that have done and been touched can help me i would appreciate it.

A friend says we should start filling out the forms now to save time...should i?

Also as the beneficiary what do i need to do and the G325 form who is the applicant?? him or me??

Both of you are the applicant on your respective G-325A. The beneficiary completes and signs his/her G-325A as the applicant. The petitioner completes and signs his/her G-325A as the applicant. Each G-325A is made up of 4 pages and each must be completed and signed in the original.

ok thanks guys

so for the filing will the G325 be the only thing i send in until the consulate here get intouch with me

Hi, tandimite. Welcome.

Check out this link, for the VJ K-3 guide (which you can also access from the blue Guides tab at the top of the VJ page you're on right now):

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k3guide

It gives you everything you need to know about the first steps to getting your petition together and out the door. You can go ahead and fill out the I-130 and the G-325A's, and even your I-129F (with additional G-325A's) for the next step.

Of course you can't actually send your I-129F until you get a Notice Of Action (NOA-1) in the mail to inform you that your Service Center has received your I-130 package, but you can still fill the form out, write your cover letter, and have your package mostly assembled.

Another good reason to fill things out in advance is so you can research any questions you have about the forms ahead of time and minimize your stress. There are example forms here (also in blue section at the top of the page):

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;page=examples

This should get you off to a good start.

Glad you're over your illness, and congratulations on your marriage.

Peace,

Bob
