I-693, Pregnant... Not age appropriate or contraindication??

I'm almost 7 months pregnant, I went to the civil surgeon to get my I-693 filled out and get all necessary vaccinations, tb test and blood tests... I wasn't able to get all the vaccinations that USCIS requires because I'm pregnant...but instead of my doctor giving me the vaccines that is considered a "contraindication" during pregnancy, he gave me the blood tests to make sure I tested negative for the measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella... I only got one vaccine which was the tdap.

He gave me a copy of the I-693 and I noticed that he checked "not age appropriate" under the waiver blanket for all of the vaccines that I couldn't get instead of checking "contraindication"... and at the bottom, he checked "Vaccine history complete for each vaccine, all requirements met"......

I called the civil surgeon and asked if he made a mistake by checking "not age appropriate" and he said no, and that he's sure it won't be returned by immigration because he handles alot of immigration medical exams.... I just really don't know whether to believe him or not and now I'm paranoid thinking that USCIS will make me redo the whole exam over again after already spending $450 with that civil surgeon just because he may have filled out the form wrong. Any pregnant applicants or does anyone know if I'll be okay with this??

For AOS applicants that come over on the K1 they are required to have the medical to obtain the visa, then have vaccination proof when they apply for AOS. My husband did not have all of his shots when he arrived. We paid $60 for the shots at a low income health clinic and then paid a Civil Surgeon $25 to transcribe them.

I'd bet they won't even notice anything wrong with your vaccination sheet. If they do, then the one page might be the only extra thing you would need and you can get it taken care of for a lot less money after the baby is born.

Good luck!

Our VisaJourney started July 2009 when I mailed the 129-F

Fiance here February 2010, married 10 days later

GC received in the mail 10-Jun-2010

Able to apply to remove conditions 12-Feb-2012

BABY GIRL BORN JULY 2011!!!

Nothing to worry about. I did not have to take most vaccines. My cs also wrote not age appropriate which is appropriate in that situation. Don't worry about it.

I feel so stupid for not knowing you can have Civil Surgeons transcribe... I had already gotten all of the same blood tests that I did at the civil surgeon's office just 2 weeks prior at my obstetrician's office (that my insurance co. covered and paid for), and I even mentioned it to the nurse but she didn't say anything :bonk: Def. should have done more research. Thanks for the reply!

I'm 7 months pregnant also and I showed the civil surgeon the tests my OB ran to test me for HIV, syphilis (sp?), etc.

He charged me $150 for transcribing...then I got a message from one of the VJ members in our area that said another CS charged her like less than $50 for it. Sigh.

It's ok if he put down they were not age appropriate...it's a "get out of vaccination" card for you. lol USCIS will not think anything of that at all.

:D Great! Thanks so much! Definitely a relief to know that for peace of mind! Were you pregnant also?
